(Nobody is answering! Let's just go on to Gingeroot's house. -shrugs- )
Gingeroot lead the way through the twists and turns of the alleies and arrived at a tan two-leg nest with giant, thick sticks hoding up the front porch. She motioned Gypsy to follow her as she jumped through the cat flap in the door. "Meow!" As she announced her arrivel two two-legs ran up to her, one had honey-colored hair and the other had dirt brown hair but they both cuddled and kissed Gingeroot cooing and addoringly. "Whoes cat is THIS!" said the blond(Brittany). She nudged Gypsy with her foot. "MEOW!!!" Gingeroot leaped from the brown-haired girls arms(Shea). She rubbed up against Gypsy and whispered, "I'm saving your life, as soon as they realize your my friend they won't nudge you anymore." She positioned herself beside gypsy on the shiny wood floor.

Gypsy hissed and leaped back as the human's foot nudged her sharply. Her fur was on end, and her claws out. She relaxed the fur on the back of her neck at Gingeroot's words. She sheathed her claws slowly as Gingeroot stood beside her, but stood lightly on her paws and stared suspiciously at the humans' feet, ready to spring away at any second. Her ear flicked slightly, and she thought she heard a faint mew, but she quickly shook it off and stared warily at the humans, wondering how they would have reacted if it was Storm standing in their doorway, rather than her.

Gingeroot stayed by Gypsy until Shea said in a cooing tone, "Look! the two are friends!" Brittany petted Gingeroot and then Gypsy. "Come on!" Gingeroot said. "Come see my cat HOUSE!" She ran up the stairs into a big room with a little house the size of two dollhouses put together. Gingeroot padded inside the doorway and poked her head out a little window. "Yum! they left me some TUNA!" She pulled her head out from inside the window and ate her food.

Gypsy hesitantly followed Gingeroot, then stared in amazement. The two humans must really love Gingeroot if they pampered her like this. She flicked her ear before leaping into a high window on the house and looking around. Her humans would never do something like this for her and Storm. She sighed and curled in a tight ball with her head beside the cat house's window, staring out at the large room. She closed her blue eye, but kept the green open. She didn't want to be asleep if something happened to Storm again. Gypsy shuddered slightly and slipped out of the window, forming a loose, ball-like position on the floor next to the house.

Gingeroot came out of the little house and sat by Gingeroot. "Are you thinking about your brother?", she asked. Her eyes were deep with concern. She leaped to her feet in alarm when she heard Brittany's little caged Yorkshire terrier in the next room bark from the scent of the neww cat. She sat back down and turned her attention back to Gypsy.

Gypsy stiffened at Gingeroot's words--she never talked to other cats about her brother--but softened at her concerned voice. She sat up, lowering her eyes. Yah. I don't like to be away for too long. Last time-- She froze suddenly and leaped to her paws, the snowy fur along her spine bristling. She glanced around, but could see nothing unusual. Her vision blurred, and Gingeroot and her home disappeared from view. She saw in shadows, and faint images. A dark shape loomed above her. She snapped back into reality, and scrambled quickly to her paws, hissing quickly to Gingeroot I have to go. Something's happening to Storm.

((Is Storm taking the place of Nightmare?))
"Do you want me to come with you?" Gingeroot asked in alarm. "If it's personal, I understand, but i have nimble paws and could come in handy." There was a gleam in Gingeroot's eye, she was eager to help this cat in need.

((yah. i just re-checked Gypgy's bio, & remembered that Nightmare is her father's name)) Gypsy blinked greatfuly, her eyes saying that they might be saving his life, rather than his fur, from severe damage. She stared at Gingeroot for only a second before whirling around and pelting toward a window, and leaping out. If something really was happening to Storm, she couldn't waste any time. For his sake, and for her own. ((now i'm gonna wait untill someone looks at Storm's bio))

Gingeroot leaped out of the window after Gypsy and landed gracefully beside her. Her claws were extended and her paws were ready to race off. "I'll be back!" she meowed to Shea and Brittany, but to them it sounded like "Meoy, Meow Meay." She jumped onto the sidewalk and raced towards Gypsy's house.
((I'll just wait until a staff member replies to Storm's bio))

Gypsy landed heavily on the sidewalk, and barely paused to resume her footing before racing toward home at full speed. Thoughts flashed through her mind, and she grabbed a plant in her jaws as she ran by, ripping it from the ground. The familiar scent reached her sensitive nose, and her eyes watered, but she kept running. She froze suddenly, and turned into the a dark alley, motioning for Gingeroot to follow. She trotted quickly down the dark street, keeping to the shadows. She glanced at Gingeroot and muttered The humans. Before leaping into a broken window, into the house.

Gingeroot raced after Gypsy into the dark alley. It sent cold chills up her spine. She didn't hesitate before jumping into the broken window, and she landed on a piece of glass and cut her paw. She bit her tongue to keep from screeching in pain and licked it a few times before continuing. Her concience told her to git out! But her braver side told her to go with her new friend and that's exactly what she did...

Gypsy glanced behind her, and seeing Gingeroot's bleeding paw, she dropped back to padd beside her, murmuring We'll be able to take care of that once we get to Storm's nest. She paused, then added softly You don't have to come if you don't want to. I've done this before.

Gingeroot shook her head, "No, I'm coming with you! Forget about my paw!" She put some weight on it gingerly and said, "i'm fine, your brother's more important." She knew that if she backed out something bad might happen, so she pushed the thought of quiing into the back of her mind and resumed her adventure.

Gypsy purred quietly, then carefully wove between cobwebs, broken glass, and other assorted items, slowly making her way toward a small opening, high in the wall. She glanced back to make sure Gingeroot was still behind her, then leaped into the hole. She glanced over one snowy shoulder, then padded slowly down the tunnel, following its twists and turns. She felt the familiar incline beneath her paws, and carefully picked her way up the crumbled wall plaster, to a small hole similar to the first. She was nearly at the tunnel's end when she heard heavy, pained breathing. Storm? Are you there? She glanced back again, then trotted into a small cave-like opening in the tunnel.
Storm pricked his ears and struggled to his paws as he heard the familiar pawsteps echoing in the tunnel. He blinked clouded white eyes, and stumbled backward a step, hissing softly. There was another set of paws further down the tunnel. The scent was masked by the strong plants in the wall, but the bit he caught was unfamiliar. He dropped warily into a crouch, ready to spring away, then sighed and curled in his nest, defeat in his eyes. He could run no more. He licked his sister's nose, then tensed slightly, waiting for the other cat to enter his cave. He parted his jaws slightly, tasting the air beyond the herb-wall, and quickly began pulling plants from the wall. He scented blood other than his own. He didn't know how badly the strange cat was injured, but if Gypsy had led them here, they must be a friend, and he was obliged to help them.

Gingeroot followed Gypsy through the tunnel and paused to absorb in her surroundings. A herb-covered wall, a tunnel that smelled like it was centuries old, and a new cat. She approached this cat and announced, "Greetings, my name is Gingeroot, one of Gypsy's friends. I am assuming you are Storm, is that correct?" There wasn't a hint of snobbyness in her voice. She licked her paw once more and then everything went blury! "Oh no!" she wailed. Then everything went black. "Oh my gosh! I'm going blind for about a day! But why today?"
