Gingeroot leaped out the attic window, her claws could undo the lock, and she was on the roof. She walked over to the side and jumped onto the porch roof. She went over to the gutter and grabbed the post supporting the porch roof. She climbed down the post and landed in the newly cut, yet thick, dew-covered lawn. With each paw-step she raised a foot and shook it, set it back down. She repeated this until she was out on the cement of the sidewalk. "I think a walk will do me good, maybe I'll meet a new cat." She said aloud and licked the dew from her paws and set of down the sidewalk. She'd heard about a she-cat that lived down the road. And she'd also heard about her attempt to open the locked window. Gingeroot silently laughed to herself and her ginger pelt glistened in the morning sun. Gingeroot was determined to meet at least someone new.

Gypsy trotts toward the she-cat, eyes glinting mischeviously. She jumped as a twoleg monster roared by, and her bell jingled trecherously. She hissed softly to herself and jumped into a tree. She made sure that her white pelt was completely hidden in the leafy branches before reaching her teeth toward the itchy collar. She hissed and sat on the branch, tail tip twitching irratably, before her curiosity took control and she crept forward on the branch to get a better look at the other cat.

Gingeroot had heard the bell of the other she-cat's collar. She kept walking though as if she hadn't heard. After sitting down at the trunk of the tree the she-cat had jumped into. "When you decide to come down from the tree, she-cat, we'll introduce, but until then, you can try to get your collor of by yourself. When you come down, the expert will show you." Gingeroot positioned herself below the tree, and waited for the white cat to decend.

Gypsy glances back and forth between the she-cat and the bell dangling from the collar, then leaps down from the tree. She lands on her side, then quickly scrambles to her paws and gives her snowy fur a few licks before glancing at the she-cat with one eye. Gypsy. She muttered. She turned to face the she-cat and blinked both eyes, one sapphire, one emerald, at her.

"My name is Gingeroot, yours name, personaly, is quite nice. Now, do you want that collar off? I keep mine on because I don't want to be caught by twoleg patrol, yet I am not you." Gingeroot smiled, not and evil smile, but a friendly smile. Her pelt glistened in the bright sunlight and her eyes were most pleasent to watch. "Do not feel bad Gypsy, I have excellent hearing, though I couldn't see you, even if I tried. I have had an experience as a kit at the vet, and there my vision was messed up. I can see things, but they are a blur."

(forgot to add this)
Gingeroot turned and faced Gypsy again. She silently hoped the two would become good friends. Her eyes glisened like a stream in late twylight and her gaze was as soft as the down on a baby owl.

Gypsy hesitates slightly, then sits. Thanks. Her snowy head tilted slightly to one side at the glimmer in the she-cat's eyes, and she meows You see things in smudges? My brother was the same. Her voice lowers as she adds That was after he was hit. She shudders slightly at the memory, and jumps again as a monster roars by. Her odd-eyes widen slightly as she scampers away from the wide black path.

"I'm sorry if I brought back hard memories. I was curious about you jumping from the monsters. I have to rely on my ears, nose and paws a lot more now. I'm a young cat, so I don't have a quarter of my sight missing. I live just down a few corners from here where the big red thing on a stick stands." She was hoping to become allies (allys, allis, I don't know how to spell it). That way if any kind of monster of loners ganged up on them, there'd be at least two of them. Gingeroot finished a bath and sat with her ears pricked.

Gypsy shrugged and murmured He's not doing well. I should probably get back soon. She brightened slightly, and meowed I live down there. With her snowy tail, she pointed to a house not far from Gingeroot's. It's the one with the blacked-out window. That's the room my brother stays in. She flicked an ear, and instinctively dropped into a crouch as a small bird fluttered in front of her.
((OOC: I'll probably make her brother sometime soon.))

"Oh, well maybe I could see him sometime, and maybe he wouldn't feel so, so..." (visit him after he's made hee hee) Gingeroot couldn't think of the right words . "Would you like to visit my place? When I say MY place I mean MY place. Shea and Brittany, my housefolk pamper me like crazy. Once I show them you're my friend, they'll pamper you too." Gingeroot tapped Gypsy's left ear, as a sign of friendship(I forgot to say that in the bio). When Gypsy jumped from the next passing monster, Gingeroot layed her tail on Gypsy's shoulder, to reasure her. Gingeroot spotted a mouse rusiling the leaves on the ground and jumped onto it. It scrambled out of her paws and scuttered away. "I, uh, meant to do that." said Gingeroot, half joking, half trying to hide embarresment.

Gypsy purrs with amusement, and sits up. My housefolk are like that with me and Storm. at least, they used to be. She blinks and shakes her head slightly, then stands. She calms slightly as Gingeroot's tail rests on her shoulders, and purrs again when the mouse scuttles away. Happens to me all the time. She blinks greatfuly at the she-cat for lightening her mood, then glances at the black curtained window again, and narrows her eyes slightly, then shakes her head. she must have imagined it. Her brother never sat at the window.

Gingeroot saw Gypsy glance and narrow her eyes at the window. She batted a leaf that fell and tickled her nose. What was Gypsy doing? Why was she staring at that window? Gingeroot thought. But she cleared the image from her mind and led the way to her own two-leg home. She had heard about toms and loners roaming the area and didn't want to meet trouble(*hinthint* to all those out there with roaming cats and loners) She set off towards her home with Gypsy by her side. Her home was a few blocks from here, across one of the most dangerous part of the flock of two-leg nests.

Gypsy hurredly follows Gingeroot, skittering to one side as yet another twoleg monster roared past. Was she imagining it? or was the air really getting darker? She shuddered slightly and quickened her pace. Dangerous rouge cats roamed this area, and she didn't want to be there when they arrived.
