Fernstar trotted across the fallen tree once again. This gathering should be different than the other one. She knew that Shadowclan and Windclan were okay. But still no sign of Riverclan. Her hopes were up but she still didn't think Riverclan made it. She could scent the strong scent of horse and pine, this was slightly warming to her. She also smelt something else.. Fire. Fire! She knew it wasn't on the territories but on part of the island. Near the water so it shouldn't get to far. She scented one other thing... Twolegs.

Silverwhisker was ahead of Rainstar and the other's. She jumped on to the log and smelled the air. The smell of fire came to her nose. She thought 'Oh no a fire.' Her thought's went on as she crossed the log and jumped onto the island. She saw Fernstar and said "Hello, I'm the Windclan's new Medicine cat."

Fernstar nodded to the Windclan medicine cat, As you may know, I am Fernstar, leader of Thunderclan. Fernstar scented the fire but it didn't seem to be spreading. Her hopes of Riverclan coming were low.
Swallowleaf ran towards Silverwhisker and Fernstar, Hello, fire and twolegs. They must be out of their dens today. Swallowleaf was in a good mood. Twolegs wouldn't bring her happiness down now.

Rainstar rushed infront of Swallowleaf and Silverwhisker. "You were supossed to follow the leader... But I'm here now so all's well!" she smiled. Rainstar walked over to Fernstar. "I smell fire! And twolegs! Why are they out of their dens?!" She looked a little concerned, but still smiled. "Fernstar, have you heard anything from Riverclan yet? Well it seems that Thunderclan is doing well!" Rainstar herself didn't know why she randomly changed the subject, but she didn't care.
Duskwing followed Fernstar to the island. The scent of fire and twolegs filled his nostrils. He snarled in disgust at the scent. "Well it seems that Shadowclan and Riverclan are taking their time!.... Again..." He added under his breath. He wanted the hopes to rise that Riverclan was still Riverclan.

Clawfire laughed appearing behind his leader. The extremely sensitive cat had a very sweet laugh. And joined Duskwing.
Pineclaw dashed after Rainstar. She trotted to Duskwing and, apparently Clawfire. "Hello Duskwing, Clawfire."

Silverwhisker sat down and watched the other cats come to the island. She was glad to be in the gathering. She flicked her tail and smiled at the other cats.

Silverwhisker walked around the island. She looked inside the log and tilted her head. She pulled her head out and smelled the air. 'Still smells like fire.' She said to herself.

Streampaw rushed across the log to the Island. She looked around for any sign of a cat she knew. "I don't know any of the cats here! Starclan, please help me tell the cats about Ashstar!" she though frantically as she walked towards the center of the Island. Surely someone would scent her and wonder about Riverclan.
Rainstar heard claws scraping against a log. She turned her head and looked at it, but didn't see anything. She didn't know that the young apprentice wasright infront of her, but too short to see at the horizotal piont of view. "Odd... I could swear that I heard a cat coming. Wait! I smell something new! Shadowclan? No, the scent is different, but it's deffinatly cat scent. Could it be Riverclan? Yes! It's Riverclan! I must tell Fernstar!" Rainstar leaped up and rushed over to the Thunderclan leader. "Fernstar! I have just scented Riverclan! I haven't seen the cat yet, but there is a Riverclan cat here!" Rainstar looked around for Streampaw, who she didn't know was hiding in fear nearby.
Duskwing was sitting down near Fernstar, waiting for the Gathering to start. The sight of the Windclan leader rushing over to where Fernstar was surprised him, but he got his act together fast. He listened as she spoke of a Riverclan cat on the Island. "But how can that be?" he thought in a daze. He got to his feet and walked over to the log casually. Duskwing lowered his head and sniffed the claw marks on the log, where it seemed that a young cat was scrambling across and almost lost its balance. "Yes... Riverclan..." he whispered. Following the scent was hard with all of the other cats' scnets mixing in, but the tom found the trail and followed like he would follow Fernstar, to the end. The trail lead into the bushes where Streampaw was crouched. He pocked his head in and looked at the small ball of quivering fur with confusion. "Um... Do you happen to be of Riverclan?" Duskwing bent down and sniffed the apprentice. "Yep. Riverclan." He gently picked her up by the nape of her neck and brought her over to Fernstar and Rainstar. Setting her down gently, he said, "I found the Riverclan cat. I think she might know where the rest of Riverclan is, Fernstar."
