{Raιηe ƒroѕt} ' Worn out, wasted Like a bird with broken wings ' ``It hadn't been much of an eventful day. Rainefrost's mind had done a bit of wandering, the only thing he had done since dawn aside from retrieving fresh-kill for the clan, that had taken him to places within which he'd become oblivious to the world outside. He couldn't quite hold on to time before it was gone in the blinking of an eye. It seemed to have slipped past him unnoticed; but then, he didn't mind. He was more of a mixture of a heart, not knowing what he truly wanted. Would he have preferred a slower Sunhigh, a slower life? That would've been lovely. Luckily he had yet to grow old and gray, having the rest of his days to lie around in the luxuriously blazing sun and think. Even the thought of this didn't satisfy him.
``The warrior walked along at a sort of swaggering pace, his plump, bloody prey of hare dragged limply by his jaws, his steps not faltered from wariness but simply slow because there was no point in racing to a finish line. Amid this calm little trek he found himself cornering the great Sky Oak - and my, was it beautiful. Its leaves were returning to their rightful hanging perches, a sign of upcoming Newleaf. They had not a single spot or blemish, as the setting sun did not pierce through them like it had in late Leaf-fall; just impeccably green leaflets blossoming here and there, the breeze whirling them in soft dances. He glanced up and watched them admiringly, sitting down on the cold earth more than a fox-length away. Something then suddenly caused him to wonder how a mere seedling could have possibly grown into such a huge, magnificent tree and remain standing strong for hundreds of years. Would it not fall over, even after he himself had gone to Starclan and future generations would rule over the forest? If he were a lonely specter glued to nature, he would've grown tired of seeing the same sights, watching over the same invariable place. And in the aftermath of a relentless Leaf-bare, it still settles high into the clouds as if entirely unscathed by the harsh wind and snows. Rainefrost was in an odd state of awe.
``Letting forth a contented sigh, he carefully laid the rest of his lithe self to the ground, his billowy tail curling and curving in lazy arcs while he set the fresh-kill aside and rested his marred face on the cooler, shaded earth. He'd acquired a few cuts and scratches from the pursuit through prickly nettle and underbrush; that stubborn rabbit had certainly not been an easy catch. Lying there, restless, the tom secretly wished another presence could come ambling by to tell him what a good hunter he was (thoughnotentirelytrue).

Lengthy strides were only obstructed by the weight carried in the mouth of the feline: two voles and a tiny morsel of mouse. Day in and day out it seemed this path was followed. The same pace, the same routine. The clan was quiet and had been for moons on end. Though cats are still seen, conversations aren't as common as they were before. The she-cat hurried past lush shrubs and jumped over petite patches of bramble, getting scratched after every jump. It seemed the moons of self reliance had grown on her once youthful, lithe body. Now all it was home to were lean, wiry muscles. Fernstar's grey pelt didn't cling on to bones and muscle, she looked fair. After all, she had been hunting for almost only herself. New-leaf had come to show its true colours; varied in shade and weak in contrast, green had taken over the land. For now the noble maples and the strong oaks stood together resolutely with their leaves dancing noisily in the soft breeze.
In the distance the distinct outline of the Sky Oak began to take form. Her blue eyes caught the lake shore and all of its glittering sand. Lately Fernstar had either taken to the Dead Oak or the shoreline. As she bounded off of a sandy hillock, her foot twisted and sent her into the air in an awkward way. Unlike the old saying "cats always land on their feet", Fernstar had indeed not. Instead she landed on her side, dirtying her prey. She hissed resentfully at the rodents and picked herself up, only to take her prey to the lake to be washed. She didn't particularly like sand on her meal. Caked blood from the rodents' wounds melted off their silky brown pelts as Fernstar gingerly dipped them one by one into the lake. A pile of leaves made due for a bed so they wouldn't get dirty again. After a few verses of the birds' melodies, Fernstar brought her catches over to the open grass part of the forest to make a cache while she visited the lake. A little hole was dug and filled before long and the leader was back onto the sandy patches once again.
Resuming her southern-facing position, Fernstar's world opened to her surroundings. A great blue heron careened down from the sky landing quietly and gracefully onto the choppy water while a group of frogs chirped from their hidden corner of the bull rushes and long-stemmed stalks. Across the lake, RiverClan's home was quiet. Swift splashes could be seen if not only as a mirage or figure of the leader's imagination. Soon enough a story was enfolding from the depths of her mind. In the middle of the lake a giant feather was seen. It had a golden hue, like a golden eagle's you could say. It was dancing in the wind; twirling and twisting dreamily. Then, like most day dreams of the sort ended up, the feather became a snake with giant protruding fangs. The snake always finished the dream by diving into the water menacingly, but Fernstar had begun to get bored of the story and stopped it early. The golden snake's significance dwindled in the mind of the she-cat.
Twisting while turning around and getting up, Fernstar sighed and heavily picked up her paws. Her paws were headed towards the Sky Oak to see if there were any lazy squirrels ready for a good chase. Her head was down for most of the journey, she was well aware of that, but only until a scent was carried down-wind did she pick it up. It was the scent of a cat. A familiar cat. But it couldn't be? Surely all this relaxing has gotten to her head. All of this fussing couldn't take the scent away, and soon her pace had picked up as well as her heartbeat. Soon the silhouette became a body and the body became a rush of memories and emotions.
"Rainefrost?" Her voice was doubtful, she could hardly remember her love's face after all the lost time. She was worried she had intruded on a rogue's meal seeing the freshly killed rabbit, but this cat seemed too fair and familiar. This had to be him, it just had to.

{Raιηe ' Sometimes grace reminds me I don't get to be the king ' ``The Thunderclan warrior's silkscreen orbs continued to gaze over the scene tenderly. From that particular angle below the infrastructure of leaves, the branches looked as if they were grappling at the sky, which was literally aglow with orange brilliance. A few ravens glided across the celestial of fire-ish hues, seemingly sliding over the air on their wings. A gust of eastern wind suddenly shattered against the tom's frame, attempting to pull the lifeless hare with it, but a firm claw put an abrupt stop to its escape. He exhaled yet another sigh, this one of inconvenience he would later decide unnecessary.
``The heavy breeze had brought along a familiar essence followed by foot-falls that were quick to catch the tom's rather absent regard. His striped tabby canvas flexed beautifully (despitethedirtanddustspots) as he shifted to get full view of the cognizant visitor who was approaching him from behind. Thoughts frenzied then, taking into account how long it had been. It was unmistakably Fernstar. Velvet auds pinned forward, he blinked a moment away and then a bright expression blossomed on his dusty face in recognition. The final time his emerald eyes were to open they were glistening with relief, bliss, lavish windows to the inside of his soul. He loved her. Hopelessly, and devotedly, he loved her.
``Slowly he lifted himself from the earth and staggered toward her, his nose brushing against her facade. He let his neck fall over her shoulder; in an embracing gesture he stayed there, assuring her of his identity with a sole gentle word: "Fernstar..."

Warm happiness blew over Fernstar as her love embraced her affectionately. Silvery eye-lids closed over her bluish optics as she returned the gesture; her smile was wide and purr bubbling softly.
"Oh Rainefrost, you don't know how much I've missed you..."
Her eyes had yet to open; the moment was too fragile to risk it. Her head drew around his neck, mimicking his movements. Fernstar held her place for a long moment just taking in his familiar scent. The she-cat had never felt something so powerful, so loyal and determined, as her love. It had been battered by long days of loneliness and fed again by brief meetings, but still it stayed strong. Her heart pounded rhythmically, so full of emotion that she felt it would surely burst if she stayed with her head against him any longer.
Drawing back slowly she kept her blue orbs locked with his deep green eyes; she was now back no further than a pace. Lightly behind her body her tail lashed silently with anticipation. She had so many questions, so many of which she meant to inquire about, but more still that would stay concealed by the inevitable wall that kept things enclosed even though their abilities were far greater than those of the wall. She let her eyes drop momentarily and her feet re-adjust to their placement before she looked back up.
"Where were you? I thought I'd never see you again..."
The leader had started out slowly, cautiously, knowing her guard had fallen and now a path led straight to her open heart. Her defenses as leader couldn't be seen. If a random feline were to approach the pair, she would seem like any other cat and not a leader who had truly performed her guiding duties.
"But, here you are now. I - I can't say how glad I am to see you."
Up until now she had had her head down, bound so tightly to her words that it felt dangerous to speak them, but now her eyes had once again grabbed onto those of Rainefrost.
"Nice catch," she joked awkwardly.
Perhaps she had not felt it then, but her display of brief connections could have been considered embarrassing but nothing faced her right now. Fernstar felt she had said enough for the amount of time she had had since Rainefrost's heart-warming speech. She had realized it before, time and time again, but now it was rock-solid. She was committed, tied together with her feelings and beliefs. The grey feline was still faithful to her position as leader and would do anything for her clan, no matter where or who was left of it, and if it were to be required, she would deal with having a mate and still be leader. She was hopelessly in love and there was no way of reaching her now, no matter what her rank was.

{Raιηe ' But love, it washes over Love, it pulls me closer ' ``Fernstar had returned his embrace, striking faint chords in his heart accompanied with a rare feeling of joy. He couldn't even register how much he'd missed her, let alone how much she might have longed for his presence to grace her and the clan after such a long while. All this time he had figured simply that she'd moved on, only occasionally remembering his face in that beautifully adorned skull of hers whenever it happened to come. If he was wrong, he'd never know; this wasn't the place for him to interrogate when he'd been the one off by himself in his own mind tirade. "I've missed you, too, Fernstar. I've missed you.. so much..."
``Just as she had he drew away gradually, his gentle gaze never averting from her own. Her eyes were like staring into astral blossoms, kind and serene, elements in their purest form. He missed seeing her like this, happy to greet an old friend with a warm welcome. Of course, then, he'd never seen her any other way. She was beautiful, both inside and out, and was melodic in every way from conformation to the way she thought. He admired her so, since the day he'd recruited Thunderclan and had taken that brief walk with her. But for once he didn't know how to go about answering her question: "Where were you?"
``Loneliness, oh sweet loneliness. It was a horrible thing, it really was. Something about the aching of a throbbing heart, the suffering of missing everything - and it just so happened to be anything. It was something that with time the heart had learned to cope with; learned to manipulate and live with. It was an idea that was sickening to think of but constantly on his mind. Rainefrost was so weary. It seemed he would only just become settled before everything he knew was uprooted and he stood alone. He was so frightened, so deathly scared of being alone again. But he had done it to himself. There wasn't an understandable reason as to why he had taken some room by his lonesome, not even too far from the clan but mentally distant for a time he wished he could've spent with Fernstar. It was getting smaller now, the clan..
``Her mention about his catch obliterated his train of thought, but silently he was thankful. He felt bad for having not responded to her simple question, and yet, with all the loose feelings pulled into seams, he hoped that she would understand that he couldn't find one for her. "Oh, thank you," he said, laughing softly in acknowledgment to her joke, his smooth vocals straining after having not spoken for quite the while.

Simple words can mean more than elegant more complex words can. Their innocence can come off as sweet from a child, while they can come off as emotions piled into more common words. Phrases like thank you or I love you are some that would fall into this backwards world of complicated simplicity. Some people have a knack at elongating their thoughts into paintings of words while some can speak or write with just as much impact but with less words but equal sentimental values. Then there are some who don't speak, don't write, don't draw, just feel.
--
Fernstar smiled, she still hadn't come to the realization of her situation. She knew that somehow Rainefrost was near when he was gone, or perhaps far, even though he had left her question behind. The one thing that was nesting in the she-cat's mind was whether or not this tom loved her. She knew now, just by talking to him, by just being near him, that she was undoubtfully in love. Fernstar dared not to bring up the conversation yet, maybe she wouldn't bring it up at all. When Rainefrost's chuckle sounded she chirped herself. It was a quiet laugh, not too hardy for it was almost a distant laugh in responce to her companion's more thoughtful laugh.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" Fernstar's blue eyes looked up at his, now back into the conversation instead of being off in some other world. Forging in her mind at this moment was a sense of curiosity, but more-so deturmination. She knew a way she could start the seemingly awkward conversation, if Rainefrost didn't talk about it first that is. Normally she felt like the cat to hold back and wait, but then again, she had been waiting her whole life to start writing the next chapter of her life, painting the next corner of the canvas and stitching the next portion of the tapestry. {Raιηe ' Everything is beautiful Even when the tears are falling ' ``With her simple inquiry Rainefrost leveled Fernstar with a compassionate gaze, his words just as gentle. "Of course I would."
The tom's metallic brown coat glowed softly beneath the pale Summer sun as he walked along beside the she-cat, his steps featherlight, unhurried to get anywhere in particular. It was a modestly nice day, the air warm and the atmosphere beautiful. Every little detail of the surrounding area seemed as if it were brighter, stronger and more pronounced compared to any average afternoon. Yet this was how Raine felt every day; his whole being was honed to take notice on everything. The sounds of the forest made his senses explode as they normally did, but something was clashing with them - that lovely aura following Fernstar wherever she happened to go. It made everything much more enjoyable, splendid, in every aspect of the word. Her presence alone had managed to spark up inner emotions he had forgotten that he even possessed, those of passion gone undiminished even in the once obscured light of the passing moons, the ones he'd sustained on his own. What mattered most was that she was here, with him; she was no longer a much missed specter hovering around in his head when he felt he needed her most, the only one to talk to other than himself (ironicasitwas).
`` They were alone - the first time in quite a while. He was so happy right now, oh so happy. His heart brimmed to its fullest with joy, joy in knowing he was back to a natural, accustomed way of living. No longer was he lost in the presumed notions that he didn't know what he was doing, where he was going with life or if he was following it properly. How he had even the willpower to escape those lonely days were now beyond him. It was a miracle. Or maybe he was just young, ignorant of the harm it would cause him later on. He wasn't certain.
`` He refrained from further speech, cherishing the moment for what it was. The silence for him was not an awkward one; they were simply observing the world in unison, with one accord. They were together, finally, and this was what he had wanted for so long. But did Fernstar harbor that same desire? He was almost afraid to ask himself.

She glowed, from the inside out. She couldn't help but allow herself to continue to smile. This moment, nay, this whole experience, seemed like it were from a fairy tale. Fernstar felt no indifference to her companion, nor did she feel any coming from him. They kept walking. Her pads, raw and exposed from the growing heat of the stony camp, were relieved to feel the healthy grass brush against them as she moved. The forest was idyllic; the trees moved about in the breeze, the rodents rummaged through the droppings of the earth while the sun glowed merrily in the cloudless sky.
It was picture perfect, it was sheer bliss, but the relentless theory, now nearly a worry, kept nagging at the she-cat. Not letting the thought bother her, Fernstar kept up pace with Rainefrost, her steps light and outwardly calm. Time began to pass when the forest opened to an unambiguous path, their familiarity with it not as fair as their connection to Sky Oak or the lake. Soon the grass let up and gravel took over. Normally cautious not to get near anything that had to do with twolegs, Fernstar hadn’t performed the precaution to check where she was. All she knew is that she was with Rainefrost.
Then, out of random impulse, Fernstar spoke with the utmost passion and raging speed.
“I know I shouldn’t say anything… I mean, what if you hate me after this? I mean… We have such a connection, it just seems that… I… Oh never mind…”
She was immediately ashamed of herself. She was a babbling fool in her mind, and surely to others who may have over-heard her little outburst. She wished desperately that the comforts of the lost silence would be returned, but now she knew she must finish what she had begun. To speak was Fernstar’s obligation to Rainefrost at this anxious moment, so she finished; finality in her closing words.
“What I’m trying to say is… Over the past few moons, even when you were gone, I felt that, without any doubts or uncertainty… that, I love you…” [/blockquote]

{Raιηe ' Even in the crashing down I can hear redemption calling ' `` Already glowing pelt flowed smoothly over muscle, sinew, and thick bone as he walked with her under the pearly fluorescents of sunlight coming through the canopy leaves. They passed shards of branches and furtively blossoming flowers in an array of colors, though he hadn't noticed them, until the grass beneath was replaced by a gravel path upon which they stepped foot. Neither seemed conscious of their surroundings; just and only each other.
`` She began to speak, a little hasty and flustered, and yet he comprehended her words quite well. He was truly astounded she would even mention hatred and their connection in the same context, the same muddled sentence. There was nought to hate, not a thing to grudge - she was she, and that he loved about her. “Fernstar…” her name slipped past his tongue before he could stop it from coming. The melodious honey of her voice played with his ears once more before he could speak another word, and a slight thrill shook her spine as he replied in a purring soprano of happiness in response to her confession. A fear that had crawled and squirmed through his chest was now slowly dissipating, and already the beautiful day seemed now more of what it was earlier - despite the abrupt downpour now soaking their peltage and the earth below. His mind couldn't quite catch up with his heart at that moment, but eventually he made sense of the situation. Perfect sense.
`` A breathy exhale, a slow intake, and through parted lips came a harmonizing and passionate choice of words. "Fernstar, you all but leave me utterly breathless in your power, kindness, and beauty. I want to be at your side for the years being, really, I do.. and perhaps for much longer than that. I.. I love you, too.." He took a shaky step forward, his paws nearly slipping upon the now sleek, rain-coated rock beneath, and touched his nose to hers. The realization (although he always knew) that she was of much higher status, one that was forbidden to love, came crashing down hard on him, but he wouldn't let it show through. "It's a shame I can't.. have you..."
`` Words died in a slow space of time as he stopped his lyrical speech. Emerald eyes searched her vivid blue ones while the sweet dreams that had caressed his broad mind were beginning to vanish with the last ounce of sunlight that day would see. The storm pelted him, but he withstood it's pounding and hoped Fernstar could improvise. He really did love her, he really did.. but there was still something in the way of that.

Let those who are in favour with their stars Of public honour and proud titles boast, Whilst I, whom fortune of such triumph bars Unlook'd for joy in that I honour most. Great princes' favourites their fair leaves spread But as the marigold at the sun's eye, And in themselves their pride lies buried,
Her nose connected with his, their passion passing on through their bodies. His words made her think about a subject that was kept vacant and aroused every sun since her feelings had grown for the tom. With the sudden turn of weather, the once happy scene turned into a picture-perfect sad scene. Two emotions had collided, two emotions from opposing sides at that. The cat whom she was in love with had returned her feelings but her rank, and loyalty to that rank, would keep them from ever becoming mates. Her head fell, her paws kept pace with Rainefrost's though they dragged from time to time, and her eyes were darting from side to side, deep in thought.
Little puddles of cloudy water were forming on the pathway when it hit Fernstar that the pair were on active twoleg territory. "We should go into the forest," her voice wasn't flat, just distant, as if something right in front of her turned out to disappear like an oasis to a thirsty traveler. With Rainefrost's soaked pelt still barely against hers, it brought her back to where she was at this moment, right here, right now. Right now she was with a good friend, one she could trust and enjoy herself with. One to laugh and find good in the world no matter the situation with. And that was what she was planning to do.
She pulled her head up, her white maw dripping with droplets of rain, and looked at Rainefrost. She smiled, "You may not have me in the clan's mind, but I will be forever yours in my mind and yours," then she lightly bumped her head on his shoulder and leapt into the bushes playfully. Her grey head popped out through the leaves earnestly short moments later, her shoulders no longer feeling the weight of her future affairs.
The instant Rainefrost hesitated, she began to think of the clan. After this she would return, hopefully to find most of her clan-mates. It was time for some warriors to get apprentices, some apprentices to become warriors, and time to reconnect with her old fellows. I haven't seen Mudpaw in moons... I hope Cedarclaw has found success with her herbs, maybe Mudpaw is with her... I haven't seen Duskfeather either. I think he has joined StarClan... Maybe he went the way Blackstar went... Who should be the new deputy? How about Cedarclaw's apprentice if Mudpaw doesn't return? These never ceasing queries died down when her mind cleared and let only Rainefrost inhabit it. This was their time to share, their time to be stress-free of the future and what was to become of their love. This was their time together.
ooc: She made her huge appearance xD I was reading an article about feral cats and whether or not they fall in love. Turns out they don't actually fall in love (except motherly love), but what fun is that on a semi-realistic rpg? Sonnet by Shakespeare.
For at a frown they in their glory die. The painful warrior famoused for fight, After a thousand victories once foiled, Is from the book of honour razed quite, And all the rest forgot for which he toiled: Then happy I, that love and am beloved, Where I may not remove nor be removed.

{Raιηe ' And everything is beautiful to me ' `` Bordering on her undeniable words were her eyes glittering happily, and that was really all that Rainefrost could ask for. A fuzzy warmth that tickled his insides had spread deep within him, and absolutely nothing could not lessen it. Laughing in bliss, he hopped into the brush in pursuit of her, following behind her limber movements with light-footed maneuvers of his own, through the undergrowth, brisking around trees with a freedom unlike no other. He felt like pouring his heart out with every fiber of his being, his blood, every wave of delight coursing uncontrollably through his veins. With one last infinitesimal second to spare, the tom tackled her atop a patch of forest moss, breath catching in his throat, heart too impossibly loud in his chest. He was immeasurably happy, and not an ounce of it could he conceal.
`` Rainefrost staggered forward a tad, soon finding that his legs would failed him, so he rolled onto the ground before he could fall. He rested his head beside hers, leaf litter and mud clinging to his copper coat. This was when he finally realized, for certain, for sure that Fernstar was going to be beside him for the rest of his life. He wasn't sure how he knew, but he did know that nothing could compare to that sudden rush of emotion he felt as all the barriers in his mind toppled over, as he realized that he had been blocking all this euphoria from actually exploding, and that the happy emotions he had just been feeling a moment before had only been remnants seeping from behind that thick plank he had built to keep them all at bay for the mere sake of clan regulation. The wall was down. Rainefrost knew what true happiness was.
`` His thoughts weren't anything but a jumble of words and phrases and nothing. Absently he sought her eyes to tell her he couldn't have been more satisfied, gazing over in her direction with half-lidded pools of emerald. His mind thrummed with Fernstar, with fragrant words filled with affection, with all the things he wanted to profess to her again over and over. It was exhilarating and fresh and perfectperfectperfect. Each breath hummed in his lungs, and he sighed in content, unable to do anything else. He wondered suddenly what would happen if this continued - each second he spent with her seemed better than the last. If this kept escalating, where would it end them? All he knew was that he was completely lovesick and just wanted to bask in it, slip under the fold of the world and ignore his life for a while, focusing on nothing but Fernstar. There was not a single entity that could rip him down from his high.
He was in love.

Betwixt mine eye and heart a league is took, And each doth good turns now unto the other: When that mine eye is famish'd for a look, Or heart in love with sighs himself doth smother, With my love's picture then my eye doth feast, And to the painted banquet bids my heart; Her pink tongue rasped over Rainefrost's copper cheek as she lightly stepped over him. The sky was now covering most of the sunlight to make it look like night, though there were no stars in sight. The wind didn't blow, while the rain still fell as steadily as it did when the first burst appeared. No gay songs could be heard, for no songbird dared to step out from the canopies in this weather. The two felines looked foolish. They were drenched to the bone and still out in the rain with no hints that they were heading home or to shelter. The rain was but a but a blanket of happiness to Fernstar, continually being pulled onto the she-cat to give her a fresh taste of the reality that was in front of her. She didn't want to leave Rainefrost's side. Gently she got down onto her side and leaned against Rainefrost's back. She pushed her head back as far as it would go to reach his, to feel his presence. The confidence she felt whenever he was beside her was immense. It was what kept her going during difficult times. Fernstar knew that her faith in this tom would never be strained, that it would always be cradled inside herself like a kit against their mother's side. It would stay in her and come out whenever it could be revealed. Her first meeting with this kind emotion was nothing like this. That love had been manipulated. The tom had tried to get the best of Fernstar and then leave the remains behind him when he left the forest. That is what differed the love Rainefrost and Fernstar had and that love. Life looked fairer, more defined and positive. Even on this dreary day, life was beautiful. Laying beside Rainefrost, Fernstar closed her eyes. She wasn't asleep nor was she trying to be. She was just breathing in his scent and praying to StarClan that they could share their love forever, even in front of the Clan. The faint rise and fall of her chest showed that she was beginning to be calmed by the beat of the rain and hush of her surroundings. She felt safe by Rainefrost. Safe from neighboring clans' and the storm that was raging around them. Soon she had drifted into a light slumber. The she-cat would be waken the moment Rainefrost changed positions, but she wouldn't mind. She was so easy going right now a vole could run over her paws and it would continue on unharmed. She dreamed about the future. It wasn't a dream noted for its longevity... It lasted but five minutes to the world around her. The day was bright though there were large, cumulus clouds drifting loftily in the sky. The clan was meeting in the golden camp with Fernstar addressing them from her ledge. She could pick out her own voice over the crowd's, she was appointing the new deputy. Her body twitched when she saw who walked forward. She awoke soon after from a heavy drop landing on her nose. Could this cloud of responsibility ever leave her to enjoy this time to the fullest? She longed for it to be so. ooc: I'm sorry about your cat, Raine. My dearest condolences to you and your family.. As for your post... There's nothing to be called bad in sight! It wasn't delayed in my mind, we've posted twice in a day or two! I'd call that pretty quick :P[/blockquote]
Another time mine eye is my heart's guest, And in his thoughts of love doth share a part: So, either by thy picture or my love, Thy self away, art present still with me; For thou not farther than my thoughts canst move, And I am still with them, and they with thee; Or, if they sleep, thy picture in my sight Awakes my heart, to heart's and eyes' delight. {Raιηe ' Sweetly, You release me From the weight of what I've done ' `` Wonderful, it was. Every breath he felt Fernstar welcomely at his back. So pleasant, these surges of affection which made a young world for him, in a thought and in a feeling. He just wanted to indulge in the moment, when the earth seemed so metamorphosed; there was no rain, no night and no day; all tragedies, all turmoil in his mind, vanished — all duties, even. Nothing filled the proceeding eternity but his beloved Fernstar. He felt he could be content and cheerful for a thousand years, so long as she was with him. He did want to commemorate their love with more than simply themselves, but he feared withdrawal. Rejection. 'Leaders were supposed to restrain such an emotion.' He kept telling himself that.
`` The clan, too, had probed its way into his head. He hadn't noticed that the she-cat had drifted off in a light stupor, but nearly the same thoughts invaded upon his shallow, fragmentary thought train. He pressed harder the side of his blemished facade to the earth, in a snuggling sort of gesture, as if trying to get comfortable, while he thought about his own future. Would it be at stake? Suddenly he thought of Mudstorm. Had she ever forgiven him? Icepaw's whereabouts were also lingering there; some mentor he was, slinking off unknowingly to spend time with the love of his life. How.. how selfish of he. Rainefrost squeezed his green visionaries shut. He hated when he analyzed things further than he should have - this interval of silence and time was to be enjoyed, after all. And now he was wasting it.

You share a great deal more kindness and understanding than ever is spoken. And even though writing about a cat in love is somewhere near difficult for me at a time like this, I do it because Mulder is most certainly happier right now. C: This post is short, but it covers the word minimum.
