My Reasons
I was very dissapointed with the movie. In fact, I was more than dissapointed. Kristen Stewert is a horrid actress, and she didn't even read the book. She made a huge hissy fit on what she wanted, and it made some of the scenes not even from the book.
Yes, some scenes are a 'have to read to understand' deal. But some also are, 'Don't ever read book again to watche movie' too. I was infact very, very angry with how this movie turned out. The books are much too popular now, and the movie all the same. It is very depressing when you see that your favorite parts of the book have been twisted at manipulated into something it was never intended to be.
Also, the Shinny Edward part.. Wasn't he supposed to be a marble creation? If so, why does he have a hairy chest hmmm? They could have done so much better with the movie. All they needed was a different producer, and a new actress for bella, whom read the book, and maybe the movie could have been something related to the book to even try to compare it to.
Im sorry if im being biased about anything. They made Jacob exactly how I pictured him. Emmett and Rosalie were very exceptable as well. Alice was okay, I guess, Pixie related. Jasper made me smile with his faces in the background. Edward was hairy, and he blushed through his makeup. Bella, was just.. Awfull. I'm sorry for my pure obsession. I loved the books enough to read them all atleast three times each. And that's why I have High expectations.
Sorry if I offended anyone, and im very ashamed of myself if I have. But, me and my friends all have this strong belief that they could have done, so much better with the movie than they did. That is all.
So Please, Give me your feedback, I would love to have a creative discusion. Don't be afraid. I don't bite.

I've read the first three books. To be honest, they weren't really as exciting as I expected from all the hype, but maybe that's because I'm a guy. *shrugs* My school's divided on the issue; most of my friends hate Edward or Bella with a burning passion, while about 30% of the girls were wearing Twilight shirts the day of the movie. I haven't seen the movie. I've been telling people that the only reason I'd watch it is to see a car explode. Well, to see a car acquire a large fist sized dent, but same thing. XD I prefer werewolves to vampires, but I'd have to say Emmett would be my favorite character in the books, followed by Alice and then Seth. In my opinion, Jacob was a bit too much of a brooding whiner. Edward is Edward, predictable, boring. He's amusing sometimes, but all the good guys are amusing sometimes. No opinion on Bella. But honestly, for an actor to portray a role without even reading the source material... that's just shamefully bad. I mean, Heath Ledger lived in a hotel room for an extended period of time to come up with his inspiration for the role of the Joker. This person didn't even pick up a book. With that being said, a movie made from a book is bound to disappoint some people. We have only to look at Eragon for another example. "We take to the skies, to live or die." I ask you...

Well.. Eragon was a huge misconseption with how everything was played. A dragon with feathers?!?! WTF... That but they followed the story line, and they also had the main people read the book so they could somehow know a little bit onto what their true role was.
Twilight was just... horrible. Kristin Stewart made a huge hissy fit because she wanted the plot to be more, 'recognizable' so stupid. But anyway, I didn't like it, and its nice to know that a guy out there is actually reading the books before judging them. And I read them in the spring time, so this was much before the whole series was popular. ^.^

Hmm. I've heard from many, If you haven't read the book, go see the movie.
But, if you've read the book, the movie isn't worth seeing.
After all the feedback I've heard from my friends at school, I don't think I WANT to see the movie. I still would like to, because I heard it was alright, But just so different, and I personally don't enjoy movies, that don't base themselves off some important things in the book.
I heard Kristen Stewart was horrible, and same with Edward, Apparently, no one pictured it like this, and although I haven't seen the movie, I'm quite upset. I completely agree with you, Maxxy.

Seen the movie twice, read the book series once!
Great series, the movie was pretty good but didn't give the book "Twilight" Justice.

I actually just saw it Today ;D It was quite awkward, in many parts, but some areas were just how I imagined it. It'd git it a... C.
It was okay, I liked it, but the acting was a bit...eh...

Lmao.... you're the best xD I totally agree with a lot of things you said there. The books are waaaaaay too overrated now, same thing with the characters in the movie. I mean, come on, when the HECK did Robert Pattinson get titled "Godly" ??!!!!!!! In interviews he looks like a freaking hobo -_-' Kristen Stewart was just horrible, she sounded like a robot and her actions and lines just did not flow together.
I hated the Cullen family, except for Alice and Carlise. They were the only ones I liked.
And OMFG. I LOVED THE NOMADS <333333 Cam (who played James) is the hottest bad guy I've seen B)
edit: oh, and Maxxy, the books were already starting to get a huuuuuge fanbase in the springtime. I read the books like, two years ago when only the first two were out.

Yes... I started reading the series... let's see, I got the first in November... not last November.... and not the one before that, either... I read the first in the November of 2006. I loved the series! It was so interesting and original. I kept a keen eye on the release of the other three books, and read them mall multiple times. I have to say, I liked all of the books except number 2. New Moon's entire plot consists of Bella moaning and whining about how her life has been completely destroyed. Yes, she loves Edward to the point that her life revolves around him... but that is still not enough grounds for the plot of an entire book. In fact, the first two books including book number one had one bad point that I did my best to overlook when ever I could. At every opportunity, both Bella and Edward were always confessing their love, saying that they couldn't live without the other, and most annoyingly, insisting that they loved the other much more than the other loved them. Is it so hard to believe that you both are insanely in love with each other? Both of these characters have such tiny little egos that they seemingly appear to think that there is no way in hell that their chosen partner could love them back. Bella especially constantly goes on about how Edward is "too good for her" and she "doesn't deserve him" and he could never love someone like her as much as she loves him. Although I suppose that might just be because we hear more from Bella's perspective... Edward probably thinks all that stuff too. I was relieved when they sorted out all these issues at the end of the second book. I've heard that some people didn't like book number four. My friend was freaked out by the fact that Bella (as a human) had to drink human blood. But if you are reading a book about vampires, how does this come as a surprise to you? On the first read through I was annoyed with Bella for her silly determination to keep her demon child, but after I had read it and knew that everything turned out alright, I was able to laugh through those first few.... bad chapters. This is, unfortunately, how I have to read the entirety of book two, since even though I know that Edward comes back, I fail to see the romantic story in Bella's crazed ramblings in his absence. In fact, I liked Breaking Dawn the best, because in the end Bella finally becomes a vampire, she has a nice immortal child to complete her family, her friend has his own little pack (and bond-mate... ), and everything is just dandy! I really like happy endings, so this pleased me. :3 The one part of the Twilight series that I was just not willing to try was, of course, the movie! As soon as I saw the trailer I was horrified. There was simply so much... wrong! I am one who doesn't like movies made after books, as I find that it ruins the book for me forever after. So when I saw Bella (who, I am sorry, just looked like a whiny brat), Edward (who looked like a mad scientist. Seriously, have you seen that guy? Has he never heard of the shower or something?), and all the rest of the cast (I thought the vampires were supposed to be perfect and beautiful? Helloooo...), I shut off my brain, went into defense mode, and focused for the next several weeks on blocking out everything even related to Twilight. It horrified me how Edward especially, who I had always pictured to be a moody but noble person, looked like... a creepy vampire! Anyway, thank you for reading my extensive rant. It was probably longer than any RP post I've ever made.... okay, not that long, but still. For any who did like New Moon, Twilight the movie, or anything else I dissed, no offense meant. These are my opinions: I will respect yours if you respect mine. So long, friends!

I just want to add that both Bella and Edward's actors actively hate the Twilight books. xD Especially Edward's actor. They still should have read the book, but that's one reason why they may have not. And since I dislike the books as well, I won't say too much else for this discussion.
