[/i] Sagekit, from the moment she started her fifth moon, had began feeling herself growing more like an apprentice. Acting a little more mature with each moment, and it shocked her. Sagekit was one of the kits that didn't look foreword to being a grownup. Since she never had a real mother and father to look up to and mimic their every act, she didn't get the "I wanna be like my mama/papa" feeling that most kits did so all Sagekit thought of grownups was this: "Booooooring!" This fact made her think that being a kit was much better than being a warrior and that if she tried hard enough, she wouldn't have to grow up. Obviously Sagekit hadn't looked too far into this idea, but what do you expect from a kit? Maturity? Pfft. The silver tabby got to her paws in a single and well practiced leap and then pushed her way out of the nursery. It was certainly much too stuffy in there. Of course, Sagekit had forgotten what season it was (those things didn't matter to a kit, who doesn't have to worry about hunting and such) so she let out a little squeal of half-shock, half delight to find the ground covered in a light frost. The cold sent a shivery tingling feeling up her legs as her soft paw pads were not accustomed to anything yet, really. "Snow! Snow! Snow!" The kit danced around joyously, her small mistake being that this was not snow, but frost. It didn't matter to Sagekit. Though she would soon realize there was certainly a difference between frost and snow. Snow was softer, fluffier. Frost made the grass stand up like little blades, and it didn't fall from the sky. But who cares what a kit thinks? Sagekit didn't go around making a song about the snow, like she usually did about things she was exited about, instead the lean she-kit lay down on her stomach to feel the cold blades of grass tickle her belly-fur. Of course, Sagekit would have been much happier if she had someone to play with, but she decided that if nobody showed up to play with her then she would go whine to an elder to tell her a story or something. Meanwhile, she lay her head down so her chin was in direct contact with the ground and she looked at the designs the frost had painted on the grass up-close, letting out a groan of confusion when her breath melted away the frost, leaving drips of cold water to splash her muzzle. "Silly snow. So naughty." The kit muttered crossly. [/blockquote][/size][/ul] ((Don't worry Heathclaw, I don't write that much in my regular posts. Just for intros.))

Heathkit was curled up in a tight ball of bedding, deep in sleep and dreaming. He was standing atop the Highrock, a warrior at last, no, better, clan leader, Heathstar, the leader of WindClan! The rest of the clan was glancing up at him in admiration, he had become the greatest warrior of them all, greater than Rainstar, greater than even his father, Rustlepelt!
The kit twitched happily in his sleep, living out wild fantasies that he would forget within hours of waking. He was now dashing out of the camp, leading a retinue of warriors out to fight their enemies. He was leading the charge, dashing with flaming paws through the landscape covered in-
"Snow! Snow! Snow!"
Snow? The dream dissolved into nothingness, and Heathkit reluctantly blinked sleep from his eyes, pushing himself out of his nest and looking around. Everyone inside the nursery was still asleep. His mother, Breezeflower, was dozing only a foxlength away, her side rising and falling with each breath. He turned his eyes to the nursery entrance and pinpointed the source of the disturbance, letting out a small sigh. Of course. Sagekit.
He padded out of the nursery, giving a shiver as he walked outside into the morning frost, trailing a piece of moss behind him with his paw. He gave the Highrock a cursory glance like he did every morning, but not without any real hope. He had not seen Rainstar in ages, even though he was sure that he was more than ready to be an apprentice. He pushed the thought out of his mind, creeping quietly behind Sagekit as she lay on the ground muttering about the snow, and shouting out a quick "Boo!"
He laughed, not unkindly. "What are you doing out here sitting in the snow, Sagekit? Dontcha think it's cold? It is, isn't it?"

((Augh! The weather changed again. ))
[/b] She grunted happily, sitting up and tilting her head at him. Her smooth green eyes looked naturally melancholy, like they usually did. But her smile denied that. "I was just bored." She shrugged lightly and then giggled. "But now that you're here I can play!" Sagekit was on her paws in an instant, and immediately after that she started bounding around Heathkit. Sagekit took joy in small things, and leaping being her favorite game made her prone to hyper-ness. She leapt into the air with an apprentice's strength (leaping being her overly-practiced talent) and accuracy as she landed on Heathkit's tail and then flopped onto the ground beside him. "What do you want to play?" She meowed, folding her paws over her chest as she lay on her back, looking up at Heathkit with mischief tickling the corner of her smirk. Of course, Sagekit didn't wait for him to answer, she answered the question herself. "Leaping is a good game. We could play leopards, in the old stories they liked leaping." She meowed. But that wasn't the end of her talking, Sagekit could talk forever it seemed. "I'm a really good leaper." She boasted, just in case Heathkit didn't notice when she just leapt over his back and flopped loudly down on the ground, where she now lay talking. It must have been due to her fraction of Ragdoll blood, for Sagekit was also a very floppy cat. She flopped half the time and leapt the other half of the time. "So that's a good game," the silver tabby went on. "But. . . well yeah," she giggled, remembering she had asked him this before, "what do you want to play?"[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Heathkit grinned kindly as his eyes followed Sagekit bouncing happily around him. She was jumping around so fast that he had to keep turning around in order to follow her movements, catching each energetic leap and bound. Sagekit was always full of life and energy, and today was clearly no different.
Heathkit allowed his mind to wander a couple moons back in time, when he was still a young kit eagerly awaiting his apprenticeship and she was no more than a little furball, parentless, but raised with the love of the entire nursery. Even then she was a hyperactive, cheery little thing.
He remembered playing with her back then, leaping and chasing and padding around and having fun. But he hadn't played that wildly lately, in fact, he'd started acting like a big brother figure to Sagekit in recent moons. He had a shrewd suspicion why. Despite his name, he really wasn't a kit anymore, and he-
"Ow!" Heathkit yelped, letting out an undignified squeal as a shock ran up his spine; Sagekit had jumped on his tail, startling him back into reality. "What do you want to play?" she asked, glancing up at him through mischievous eyes, before launching off on another stream of chatter, flopping on her back with her paws facing the sky.
Heathkit glanced at her, and a flicker of melancholy ran through him as he realized the life he had lost, and which Sagekit still held onto. What the heck, he thought. My name's still 'kit. I might as well take the excuse to act like one!
He lowered himself against the ground, raising his hindquarters, letting his tail wave back and forth a bit, a mischievous light entering his eyes as well. "Well, how about... Warriors!" he shouted, letting out a mock growl and leaping at Sagekit in a rolling tackle.

She padded along, walking through camp with nary a thought. All had been slow, calm. The clan had grown to a powerful, large number of impressive warriors, and even a few kits. She smiled at the thought of raising the kits, watching them grow wise and strong. Suddenly, she heard something coming from the nursery. Tiny mews of excited kits. Rainstar, curious about the commotion, stuck her head in. She saw two of Windclan's kits, Sagekit and Heathkit, playing in the melting snows. She laughed softly, watching them as they pretended to be warriors. "You both will become fine Warriors when you're older. I can see it now. Windclan will remember you two as the best Warriors ever seen!" She mewed happily, hoping to catch their attention.
She layed down in the snow, smiling at them softly. "I heard you were playing Warriors. You know, when I was your age, I used to always play Warriors too. My brothers and sisters and I were the best cats Windclan had ever seen. But I never imagined that one day I would be leader. Never. Maybe, Starclan has the same thing in sight for you two?" She rolled over onto her back laughing. "Only time will tell, I suppose. All I can say now is that you two will be fine Warriors." She rolled back to her stomach, rising to her feet.
"You know, Warriors have to take on Rogues and fight as a team. Do you mind if I join in your game? I'll be the vicious Rogue cat, Scourge, and you two can be the Heros of Windclan! How does that sound?" she asked, laughing. She raised her hind into the air, getting into a mock fighting stance and growling playfully. She pawed at the ground, pretending to be vicious. Flicking her stub of a tail, she waited for the kits to respond.
OOC; Hope you don't mind that Rain decided to play kit games. Lol.[/sub]

((No that's wonderful! The more the merrier!))
The gray kit's eyes went wide as Heathkit jumped at her. She rolled with her friend for a while before giggling and pushing off of him. A flush rising to her cheeks, partly because of the chill of the season (although that was changing slowly) and also because of her excitement to finally be playing with Heathkit.
When she thought about it, he hadn't really played with her in a while. He would let her tackle him sometimes, and every once in a while she would get him to make a moss ball for her. But he wasn't as involved in her games as he used to be. And now suddenly he was back! Like magic. Sagekit let out a squeal of excitement, and then looked up to see Rainstar.
She smiled politely, closing her lips over her sharp white teeth and blinked. Sagekit was still a kit, and she enjoyed it that way pushing away adulthood with all of the strength she had. But she still had the sense in her to show respect for her leader. Her green eyes sparkled with joy when Rainstar offered to play with them, for the long-haired tabby had been brought up with the common fact that "grownups, especially high ranking grownups, don't have time to play". That was one of the reasons she fought to stay a kit forever. Along with the reason that kits' lives were just so much better.
"Yeah!" The five-moon-old practically flew as she leapt into the air and landed on Rainstar's shoulders. Sagekit had a talent, and it was leaping, however. . . she was not very talented at hanging onto things. She could land her leaps as elegantly as an apprentice could, but only on flat ground. So when she landed on the leader's shoulders she lost her footing and toppled over Rainstar's head, falling onto her rear with a small "oomph" as her breath was knocked out of her.
Of course, that only lead her to giggling as she attempted to scramble away from WindClan's leader before she ended up being the one who was tackled.

Heathkit rolled back towards the entrance of the nursery with Sagekit, laughing as well. It had been too long since he'd really let himself play; he'd forgotten how much fun it could be. He'd spent far too many days glancing gloomily at the Highrock for his apprentice ceremony, a little game wouldn't hurt. Besides, Rainstar wasn't likely to make him an apprentice soon anyway.
"You both will become fine Warriors when you're older. I can see it now. Windclan will remember you two as the best Warriors ever seen!"
Rainstar! thought Heathkit, turning around towards the nursery entrance. He'd recognize her voice anywhere, having heard it so often from the top of the Highrock. Heathkit tilted his head, confused by this coincidence. It was as if StarClan was testing his resolve by sending Rainstar here. Would he stay true to his recent promise to stay a kit a little longer, or would he use this chance to push for his apprentice ceremony?
Sagekit, who had no such choices to burden her, leapt up on Rainstar's offer to play, quite literally. Heathkit's whiskers twitched as he watched his friend roll off their leader's shoulders. Rustlepelt would stick true to any promise he made. And he wouldn't leave a clanmate in trouble, Heathkit decided, bounding forward between the kit and the warrior. With that in mind, he charged, giving out a kit-like rawr and pouncing on Rainstar's leg.

[/b] she cheered happily, "my hero!"The silver tabby managed to stifle her giggling and jump to her paws, deciding she needed to steal away for herself the heroic spotlight and action that Heathkit was having fun with. The kit began to run circles around Rainstar and Heathkit trying to plan her attack. Without much accuracy at all, Sagekit leapt at Rainstar's tail. Performing another one of her acrobatic bounds. It was in the she-kit's nature to be show-offish, and she expected everyone to love her for her talent. Though this was a bit vain, Sagekit had no care in the world about what she was doing right or wrong. Only fun mattered. Since she missed Rainstar's tail the first time, Sagekit pounced again, this time getting both of her paws on top of the leader's tail. This brought forth another explosion of giggles and shrieks of delight as she threw herself to the ground with Rainstar's tail. Sagekit pulled the leader's tail to her chest with her forepaws, and kicked at it with her back legs, biting onto the tip with her mouth. This was a technique she had felt pumping through her blood instinctively, and she felt a rush of excitement as she used it. Through a mouthful of tail and fur, Sagekit called to Heathkit, "Yook et ee!" Which, in I-have-something-in-my-mouth talk, translates to 'look at me.'[/size][/blockquote][/ul]

Heathkit had to hold back some giggles of his own at the sight of Sagekit bounding around with a mouthful of Rainstar's tail. This was exciting, it was different... it was fun! "Alright!" said Heathkit, circling around and planning his next angle of attack.
Rainstar had not countered any of their advances so far, so Heathkit decided to press their advantage. Was there a way to keep her off balance? Perhaps...
Heathkit held back for a moment, watching closely as Sagekit and Rainstar struggled around, and then chose his moment, when the two of them both pulled away from him. With a mingled shout of delight and determination, Heathkit sprang forward, pouncing towards Rainstar's side in an attempt to knock her off her paws.
Needless to say, it didn't work. Not only did he fail to make Rainstar budge an inch, but he actually missed, rolling under Rainstar and throwing up a spray of snow. Heathkit rolled out of the snowy mess and let out a small sneeze, shaking snow off of his fur and backing away as quickly as his big paws would let him, his fur prickling with a bit of embarassment. There was no doubt: he might be a bit more mature mentally, but he was physically just as clumsy as he'd always been.
