Two blank, expressionless eyes peered out from the depths of the bush. Their moonlight reflection very dull, and almost invisible entirely. The glow of the moon did not effect her eyes, at all, and right now she was intent on the mouse a fox tail in front of her. She took a breath to scent it one more time and then crouched lower in the bush. She perked her ears up intent on the mouse's movements. Slowly it meandered along, picking up things from the ground, and what she could tell was only that it was moving in a zig zag direction toward her.
She had never been taught to hunt, so she figured she'd do it herself. Even a medicine cat apprentice needed to know how to provide for the clan, after all, wasn't that what she did anyway? She was supposed to help the clan and what better way to do it then to hunt when she could? She flexed her claws impatiently only aware that the sounds of the mouse got tantalizingly closer. She knew she couldn't run though and that was the only thing that made it possible for her to sit and listen to the encroaching beast. Her tail trembled only once, keeping the rest of her body still.
Suddenly she heard the mouse a whisker length in front of her and she pounced. Quickly the she-cat bit, though not knowing where she bit made it difficult for her to tell if it were dead or not. Instead she placed it under her paws and gave it a series of bites around where it's neck appeared to be. She drank in the scent of blood and her maw seemed to fill with saliva. She shook her head and dragged her hind leg behind her as she limped back to camp. The she-cat seemed distracted today though, she didn't want to be near her mentor, and she didn't want to be near herbs. She still wanted to be something more... something she could never be as a medicine cat, but also something that could not be achieved by becoming a warrior.
She wasn't sure about anything any more though so did it matter what she thought?
of course not.
The female dropped the mouse in the freshkill pile, and very proud of herself for easily catching the small mouse, she sat up tall. She wondered if anyone would notice her catch, and maybe compliment her. She frowned as she thought, who would do that? They are all blind to me as I am to them. She hated the fact that she couldn't see other cats. The expressions that got thrown around her like "You should have seen her face!" intrigued her. She really did want to see the face on the she-cat when she found out she was being tricked. And while, she was sure, the face was nothing spectacular, and the other cats did say sorry for saying something like that around Tacticpaw, she didn't feel any comfort in it at all.
"And you see," she mewed in a dull whisper to herself. "This is why I stay away from cats." She shook her head and limped away from the clearing, between the fresh-kill pile and the Medicine Cat's den, just so she could be alone and think.

Large muscular paws moved herbs delicatly around the den, making sure that everything was in its place and everything had a place. His red body looked like fire when captured in the sun, but he liked his den, unless he needed to go somewhere else.
His auds perked and swivled in place. Where was his apprentice? Just because she was blind didnt mean that she could use that as an excuse for being late. He was going to teach her how to hunt and collect only the most rarest of herbs. He opened his maw and let the scents waft over the roof of his mouth as he inhaled. Eyes narrowed, he padded out of his den, letting the sun bounce off of his fur in a brilliant dance.
Just what do you think your doing? His voice sounded cold and harsh. He wasnt looking for excuses, just the truth. He didnt give a rats nest on if shew as blind or not. He would teach her that blindness would be a virtue one day, and if she didnt start acting like a medicine cat apprentice and stop pittying herself, then he would knock her over the head with one heavy paw, and that would be the end of it.
He waited for his apprentice to speak, and when she didnt his voice rose up again. You need to quit this pitty party you have going, and start paying attention to your duties as a medicine cat apprentice. Yes, he was rude. He was cruel. But thats why he is a medicine cat. He doesnt take crap from any cat. Hence his name, Darksoul.
His blood red coat turned completely, and his powerful shoulders seemed to part the air. He shot more words back towards his apprencite. When your ready to become something useful for this clan, then come to the den. Darksoul padded off. His heavy body thumped the earth and seemed to scare the prey. He didnt care. He never did.

[sorry for the crap post xP I'm museless today.] "What do you think you're doing?' She heard the words come from behind her and she rolled her eyes. She yawned and let out a swift sigh, her words were cool and clear. "Sitting here, not hunting for herbs." She didn't care what he thought of her, never had… but she certainly wouldn't have been so rude about it if it were not for his harsh words interrupting her thoughts. She sat up and turned around to the direction he had been speaking from, towards the den. "I don't have a "pity party" going- excuse me for not liking company- can you even imagine why?" the last part was very rhetorical, more or less, and was a direct assault on him. I didn't know it was a law that you couldn't think geez! she thought to herself.
She stood up and limped over towards his den. "I've been ready to be useful," she growled under her breath towards him. What was his problem? Ah, she should have given that game up long ago. It wasn't like he was cruel, but he wasn't nice- just straight to the point. She shook her head and walked into the den, the harsh sun disappeared and a cool dappled light touched her hot calico pelt. She then sat and curled her tail around herself.
She wanted to talk, but she didn't know what to say, what to do even. She had forgotten about their herb-hunting lesson completely. Once the thought of actually training hit her she felt a small hint of guilt. 'Oops' she thought, but when she opened her mouth to say how sorry she was and that she'd forgotten she quickly closed it. 'Obviously he knows that I forgot or he wouldn't have come out here to get me now would he? Nor would he have needed to if I'd remembered.' "What was it we were, uh, going to do again?" she asked. She knew she was supposed to do something… but what?

A growl rose from his throat. No pitty party eh? uh huh.. sure.. His thoughts echoed in his skull and he rolled his eyes at this young she-cat with an attitude problem. He listened to her following and entered the den before she did. What was it we were, uh, going to do again? Darksoul let her words bounce around the walls of the den. A hiss silenced the echo.
Well... We were supposed to collect some of the most rarest of herbs and learn how to hunt without our eyes. But, since your too busy with wanting to be alone, then you can leave. Its only your ceremony your post-poning even further. Yeah, Darksoul was a huge pain in the butt. His words were cold, and harsh. They stung the air as they slipped off of his tongue. Darksoul's red pelt looked dull in the den. His green eyes peirced through anything and everything. He waited for his apprentice to speak, but said nothing more himself.

She didn't care if she was postponing any ceremony of hers, so long as she knew what she was doing. "Well, hold on, If I'm busy wanting to be alone… wouldn't I have ignored you?" she asked in an almost mocking tone. "Because you know I would. Besides-wasn't it the oh great and Mighty Darksoul whom asked me to follow him if I were ready to be useful? I forgot, and now I remember; coming is nothing short of what I DO want to do." "And besides, I don’t need to learn how to hunt without my eyes, I did that earlier and it was effective enough- I bet I can hear or smell farther away then most cat's in this forest." She was determined to keep up the front about her but it wasn't something she enjoyed doing. Tacticpaw was not a resentful, sly, sneaky, evil cat that was stereotypical of ShadowClan cats, she had a bit of an attitude but that was nothing strange. In fact, if anything, it was the kind of cats that Tacticpaw hated; rude, mean, conniving, soulless creatures that roamed about.
She knew he was staring at her. His fiery gaze never usually fazed her- it was something she couldn't see and therefore it didn't affect her but his long pause and his cease of aggression or finger-pointing made her fur prickle with uneasiness. Was he really that terribly mad at her for something she'd honestly not remembered? She gave herself a mental shrug, not wanting to seem disrespectful, even though that had pretty much been scratched out in his eyes -probably. She didn't know what to make further of the situation though, she wasn't sure weather or not he was even going to train her now, much less allow her to stay, she wondered if she'd gone to far - and if she hadn't - was that pushing to far?
She wasn't going to sit and wait, if he said no, she could easily leave and go learn something on her own. "So am I going to have a lesson or should I leave you alone to be by yourself?" her words were not stagnant, they weren't horribly harsh, she just wanted to know. She stood up prepared to leave, very unsure of what he was going to say.

His anger flashed through his eyes and came off his coat in waves. This ungrateful little apprentice... She better be lucky that I dont claw her fur off right now... He let his thoughts tumble, and he didnt even pay attention to what Tacticpaw was saying anymore. When she stopped talking, he held the silence, thinking. He didn't know whether or not to make her do apprentice chores, or to actually train her. He wasn't about to let her go.. Oh no. She didnt deserve that. If he did let her go, she would be restricted to the camp. Her voice picked up again, and he caught her weary words. He saw her stand up as if she knew that he would let her go. Haha, yeah right.
Darksoul smirked his Shadowclan smirk. He was a rude and surprising cat, and now would be a shining moment. Come with me. He said. Short and sweet. He passed her, brushing pelts with hers, his body more than three times her size, and he squeezed out the opening. I dont understand why this stupid fox hole still isn't big enough for me. He squirmed as he got out. Darksoul was a large cat, with powerful shoulders, and a flaming red pelt.
His green eyes looked back down in the fox hole, just a glance. He then started padding towards the training hollow. He was going to teach her blind fights. Anticipating every blow. Feeling the ground, and where each pawstep is. Silencing all noise. His movements picked up, and he started sprinting to the hollow.
[OOC: I'll start a thread tommorrow. I just got home and I need to do homework.]
