Fernstar dipped her head, Mudstorm, do you accept Tigerkit to be your new apprentice? her voie quivered slightly.

Tigerkit looked at Mudstorm. 'Mudstorm is the cats name.'

Mudstorm dipped her head, "Yes Fernstar, I do." Mudstorm was startled her voice did not waver, she thought that she would at least break but it didn't how strange..

[Fernear!]

Fernstar smiled, "And with that, Tigerkit I now shall give you your apprentice name. Tigerkit, you are now going to be known as Tigerpaw, I hope that Starclan accepts my choice. That was Fernstar's first new name given to a cat. Tigerpaw! Tigerpaw! she began to chant.

Fernstar looked at Spottedkit, they will all need mentors, Spottedkit please step forward.

Spottedkit stepped foward. He smiled at Fernstar.

[Fernear!]

Fernstar would try to get another good mentor for this kit, "Do you accept the duties of an apprentice?

"Yes." Spottedkit said.

Fernstar nodded, Mudmask please step forward. Fernstar said. She couldn't see Mudmask at the moment. [And it all comes to a stop X.x]

As Mudstorm was called forward Spottednose imeadtly felt happy. Tigerpaw was going to be a handful, she could tell, But if any cat could do the job it would be Mudstorm. Spottednose flashed Mudstorm a quick smile as Mudstorm recived her appprentice. Now Spottednose and Rabbitpaw would have someone else to train with ocasionaly.

Stripefur watched Fernstar give out apprentices. He was getting older now, so, maybe she thought that he didnt have enough umph to him anymore. He still did, but, it was the leaders desicion.

Mudstorm looked at Stripefur and thought that she saw something, a hint of disapointment maybe? She walked over and sat beside him, "Don't yell at me if I'm wrong," she started with a sweet smile, "But I know Fernstar has some reasons for the cats that she chooses to mentor apprentices, but I know in my heart that you will probably get an apprentice today or a little bit later" she flicked his cheek with her tail and said, "Do you mind if I sit with you while I'm here? I feel very lazy today and would rather not move my limbs," she smiled at the last part stiffling a giggle.

Spottednose fallowed after Mudstorm. Rabbitpaw had disappeared to who knows where and she would rather sit by her friend then by someone else. She glanced over at Stripefur curiously. She didn't much know the tom so she would let Mudstorm do the talking. Mudstorm was better at that anyways. The brown she-cat was so nice, she was always sure to make friends where-ever she went. Spottednose however wasn't as outgoing as Mudstorm, Or as sweet. She considered herself lucky to be Mudstorm's best friend in the first place.

Mudkit listened to the meeting through the walls of the nursery, when was she going to become an apprentice? She wondered it she'd be as excited as Owlpaw, about to leap off the ground. She couldn't wait to hunt and fight alongside her new clanmates!

Fernstar shook her head, she had made a mistake! Mudmask was only a kit! What was going on in her head? She had to hold back tears, she was messing up on the first apprentice ceremony..

[Fernear!]

Fernstar decided to delay the last of the apprentices' ceremony. With only one of their brothers apprenticed, they may decide to leave. Or ignore the words of older cat, or even fellow den mates. "Lionkit, Spottedkit, your ceremony shall be as soon as possible. For now you may sleep in the apprentices' den.' her voice shook as she knew she had done something wrong. But she couldn't help it, she had to get out of camp, into the dim moonlight.
