Fernstar smiled and nodded. When she found out she was going to be leader, she couldn't slleep and was very stressed for most of the days. She thought none of her clan mates would be able to get close to her and become a close friend. She sighed sadly remembering when there were many apprentices in camp. Mistypaw, please step forward. she had yet to figure out her mentor. She was choosing between two cats.

Mudstorm went over to Spottednose and gave a congradulations lick, "I knew you would get it!" she nuzzled her friend, and turned to Rabbitpaw and said, "you have an awesome mentor you know, don't give her too much grief."

Fernstar had made her decision, it was hard but there will be many more apprentices to come. She hoped that she made the right choice, she sighed then answered many warriors' questions. Rainefrost please step forward. she closed her eyes, Mudstorm may not be happy.

The tortoiseshell warrior smiled back at Mudstorm. She took her place back beside her fellow warrior and looked back up at Fernstar. She was almost sure Fernstar would call on Mudstorm to mentor Mistypaw. After all, Mudstorm would make a great mentor and she deserved it. But then Fernstar called on Rainefrost. Spottednose let her tail lay on Mudstorm's shoulder. She was a little surprised but she knew Rainefrost would make just as good a mentor as Mudstorm. She only hoped that Mudstorm would not be mad but she knew Mudstorm was to good natured to hold a grudge.

Mudstorm twitched her nose and her smile faded, "Maybe another time.." she said. She quickly brandished another sweet smile on her face even though it didn't quite reach her eyes, her expression was convincing enough.

Amberflower and Graytail brought Tigerkit, Lionkit, and Spottedkit to the High Ledge. They sat down and looked up at Fernstar.

Fernstar thanked Starclan, these kits were ready for their apprentice name and mentor. Tigerkit please step forward. Fernstar waited for the kit to respond.

Fernstar smiled, Mudstorm please step forward. Tigerkit was a troublesome kit, she thought that Mudstorm would be good with him.

Fernstar knew that these two would work well together, Tigerkit, do you accept the job of becoming an apprentice? she asked. Her eyes shimmered, she was hardly older than Mudstorm, how different were the two then?
