Out For A Walk

[Rainefrost]

Rainefrost trotted through Oak pine forest, his thin figure blinding in to the surrounding trees. He stopped to catch his breathe, hearing his heart beat slowly and tiredly, as he was himself.
He sat beside an old oak tree, panting heavily. He looked around, for he felt a bit lonely at the moment. He searched the area with curious, emerald eyes, looking for another presence.

[Fernear!]

Fernstar had sent the apprentices and now she was waking around, she had hoped to find another cat. She didn't know who. Maybe a loner, she was wanting to catch someone in her territory. Instead of finding a loner, she found a warrior. it was Rainefrost. he was panting, so Fernstar found some dew drops on a leaf from a near-by puddle. She brought it to him, Hello Rainefrost. she greeted.

[Rainefrost]

Rainefrost looked up to see his leader, Fernstar. He stood and smiled slighty, still really tired. Hello Fernstar, he greeted as well, lowering his head a bit as a small bow. How are you doing?

[Fernear!]

Fernstar flicked her tail, I'm good thank you. You seem a bit tired, so I brought you some dew. Fernstar wanted to help, she felt that if she was leader the members of her clan may think she was to high ranked to get close to. But Fernstar was a warrior/apprentice/kit before and she had been close to the leader at the time.

[Rainefrost]

Your welcome, and thank you Rainefrost remarked quietly, looking at the dew left that Fernstar held in her mouth. He slowly took it from her, lowering his head again shyly while blushing. Thanks again, Fernstar.
He lapped up the dew, feeling alot more cooler now. He put the leaf on the ground, looking back up to her. Care for a walk? He asked, smiling. He was hoping she would, for it would make him feel special. Not many cats get to spend quality time with their leader, after all.

[Fernear!]

Fernstar smiled starting to walk, Yes please she liked spending time with the members of her clan. She knew that Rainefrost was a bit shy, she wouldn't let to much on him. Her pelt was bright through the trees. Each grey or white paw had it's hue. Her eyes shimmered when she was looking to the sky.

[Rainefrost]

He began walking as well, placing one paw in front of the other on every step. He looked at Fernstar, examining her glossy pelt in the brightness. Rays of sunlight came through the forest in beams, only making their pelts shiny when they passed a stripe of light. Each and every step he had taken had disappeared into the stripes, and the wind had blown the tiny paw-prints in the dirt swiftly away.
As they continued to walk, the personality of the Thunderclan cats came to him all of a sudden. It was like a sign from starclan in a dream, only, it wasn't and it was his thoughts. Thinking out loud, he spoke quietly, yet with a very gentle voice.

You are a Thunderclan cat. Brave, headstrong, and full of inner strength. Being pushed around is not an option for you. Though you are soft and tender to those you love, and are usually quite friendly.
However, you are easily offended and can become quite confrontational if you've been stroked the wrong way. You don't ask for the limelight, you demand it. And more than not, life gives into your wishes. Steady paced, yet tireless, it's hard to break your spirit.

[Fernear!]

Fernstar smiled, the silence was weird so she broke it, So, have you ever had an apprentice? she decided to put, she was going to apprentice the apprentices. As weird as that sounds. The apprentices didn't have and mentors yet.

[Rainefrost]

He calmly shook his head. I've never had an apprentice before he muttered, slashing his slender tail back and forth behind him as they walked.

[Fernear!]

Fernstar changed her pace to match Rainefrost's, Well, which apprentices do you like? she thought this may be giving to much away, but Rainefrost seemed like a tom to trust. Fernstar loved the scents of mid-summer. The old prey, young rodents growing into adults. Soon she'd be apprenticing the apprentices.

[Rainefrost]

He looked over to see her beside him, and smiled. I'd rather you pick the apprentice for me, Fernstar. I wouldn't want to pick a favorite or anything. I don't know many cats in Thunderclan yet.

[Fernear!]

^{Fernstar smiled, Okay, but I think any would be okay. There aren't many apprentices anyhow. Fernstar was thinking she should be getting back, she wanted to apprentice before moonhigh. Shall we go back? she asked.}

Mudstorm bounded out of a bush and floored it past Fernear and Rainefrost. Her heart was pounding, she could hear it in her ears. Her leg muscles ached as she sprinted and she bunched her muscles as she prepared to jump to the nearest branch. "Why?" she whispered to herself. "Why would do that to me" she growled on the last bit. She climbed to the top of the tree and jumped into the gorge near her. "Lets see him help me now!" she hissed..

[Rainefrost]

Rainefrost watched Mudstorm dash by, tilting his head curiously. He then looked back to Fernstar. Yes. I think we should go back he remarked, and began heading back. He stopped and waited by a tree, looking back to make sure Fernstar was following.

[Fernear!]

Fernstar checked if Mudstorm was ok, she seemed like she was so she dashed after Rainefrost. She liked this warrior, she looked at him then at the lake. It seemed higher than usual. She ignored it. She would take a patrol out to look at it later.
