Significance is a literate, intermediate to advanced Warriors role play. We role play with the five original clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan and StarClan. We've been here for over two years and counting! We have friendly, knowledgeable members along with many unique cats to role play with. Come and find out yourself what we have to offer!
04/11/09 With the latest activity check coming to a close, it seems that we are slowing down before we speed up (hopefully!) The plot is planned to start after a few threads finish up and the gathering comes to an end. When that happens there will be a new skin, new images, and more! There are still high positions open so keep an eye on the side table and stats! 18/09/09 School's up and running, that's for sure! Homework, projects and tests have already popped up. Post when you can, anything is great. Now that the ceremonies are starting to come to a close the gathering that will start the plot is coming up! If everyone is able, we will have the said gathering next moon. 09/02/09 Congratulations to: Cedarclaw, Smallstar and Duskfeather! Faythe, Rowanwing and Fawnfeather! Breanna and Maplefeather! Tikker and Briarstar! Whitepaw and Littleleaf!... and Fernear and Miragesoul! All of these members and cats have been appointed into their specific clan's hierarchy. The clans almost have full ranking hierarchies! Great job everyone! Thank you to every member who has participated in the ceremonies and held the hope to grab one of these positions. We really appreciate it whether you got it or not. Now that the clans are up-to-date, the plot should be started next moon! 08/10/09 Congratulations to Heathclaw and Rustlestar! WindClan now has their new leader. Activity is high amongst the members we have but with ShadowClan and RiverClan in need of a new hierarchy we're in desperate need of more members to open the window of opportunity to more members: advertise is you'd like.. It'd help and I'd appreciate it :) Keep up the activity and enjoy the last few weeks of summer! 07/29/09 We planned on starting the plot this moon, but I think it may be tight with all the new leader and deputy threads. PM me your opinion! There's an activity up so go post! The summer is almost done but we've still got time to enjoy! 07/06/09 Yes, the new version is here! This plot will be on its way soon enough, you've received a PM about it. The money system is back, the rules have been updated and there are many interesting things to come with the plot! Hopefully the wait wasn't too bad, I hope it was worth it! Keep your eyes peeled for what's in store for Significance and its members!

Greenleaf is here and the land is definitely showing it. The plants and trees are as lush as the cats have seen in moons and the prey are just running from their dens into the cats' paws. The air is heavy and humid with only slight breezes every once in a while. The lake is swelling from all the frequent heavy rain storms.
Although this Character of the Month is played with by one of the newer members of Significance, we believe he really deserves it. This month, please give your congratulations to Faythe who plays this month's character of the month - Rowanwing! Faythe plays Rowanwing with a great deal of literacy, and he's a fun cat to be in a thread with. Faythe has a lovely way of role playing, and it's easy and fun to read her posts. Faythe, great job with your style of role playing and congratulations on having Rowanwing as this month's Cat of the Month!
Description: Holding the looks of a brown tabby, he takes after his grandfather Oakleaf. While his mother was a silver tabby, his father a black tom, there was never and discussion on his parentage, because his mother was only faithful to one cat – Crowwing. His body is a brownish-silver with a hint of red, much like the tree that he is named after. Black tiger like stripes cover most of his body, both outlining and highlighting the features of his body. White splashes his inner ears and around his mouth, drawing the focus to his pink nose when others look at him. His ears are mostly black, tipped with little black tuffs of fur at the top. There are black rings around his tail, ending with a black splash of color at the end of it.
The color of his eyes is a startling moss green, not the bright green that you would see in the day time, but that of dusk light, with a grayish tint to it that you can’t really miss. They lack the ability to hide his emotions a large majority of the time, for it is said that the heart sees through the eyes and into the soul…bur for the times that he does manage to keep a strait face, he holds a serious, nearly deadly expression.
He lacks the bulk of the other clans, a trait of his being a Windclan warrior. The sleek, light boned build helps him with speeds and the ability to catch the Windclan Warrior’s first choice of prey, rabbits. Although his smaller frame would seem to be one that declares that he is “weak” in comparison to other clan’s warriors, he uses it to his advantage. One of the traits he holds dear to his appearance is that of his ability to appear as though he is “bigger” in presence. That deadly expression I mentioned earlier? Yes, that one, when used with tough words or a serious tone he could honestly appear to be bigger than what he really is, a true leader like stance, but don’t let him fool you, he isn’t the bad ass he appears in these rare moment, at least not with his own clan.
One to be often found with a smile on his face, around camp he is the “joker” and the “mentor” that many of the apprentices appreciate. He likes to appear sweet and innocent, but like every cat out there he has times where he goes out of character. Keeping mostly to him self proves challenging when it is always him that get into other peoples faces, and from the looks of him he enjoys doing it too! His demeanor is one of that fat, happy, lazy cat. Contentment is usually in every move he makes, if not there is usually something wrong. When you look at him, his pose usually declares his mood so he is NOT hard to read. But don’t always rely on what you see with your eyes, for a heart is much better to see with!
Personality: This large brown tabby isn’t your typical Windclan cat. His life has been haunted by death since the time of his birth, leaving him to become a small shell of his former self. While he is an optimist, he often comes off to be over protective and very hard to please. He worries constantly about the well being of others, mostly because he has much of his time to be whatever he wants to, and has no regard for his personal well being. He loves, well lives, to teach and share his knowledge with all of the apprentices, and even when he is not mentoring an apprentice himself, you can often find him tagging along to training sessions just to offer a helping hand, much to the annoyance of other warriors.
In camp he likes to be helpful, often chatting with the elders or helping apprentices’ with basic maintenance of the camp. More often than not, he will find himself telling stories to the kits in the nursery or helping out the medicine cats if he can, he at least knows the basics of herbs, like yarrow and catmint. Rowanwing is an all around sort of cat, helpful to everyone and fiercely loyal to the clan. The clan comes first. It is what he teaches all of his apprentices and what many of his stories also teach.
His stories feature cats like his brother Hawkpaw, his friend Smallear, and his mentor Pebblefoot, along with his brothers mentor Firefly and his friends mentor Ravenear. Of course he often calls them by different names or doesn’t mention names at all. He likes to incorporate riddles and games into much of what he does, mostly because he still likes to cling to his kittish side because he never really grew out of it. Of course this boy has got a serious side too! He tries to be charming to the she-cats, trying to fill that empty void that was left with the death of all of those he loved…but he does prefer friends over lovers and often fears harming anyone.
Although he isn’t really a senior warrior yet, he is often asked for advice by the younger generation, just because he is easy to go to and holds an open ear for all. Glad to be of help he is one to come to when one is in trouble, or one is lost or sad because of something that has happened to them. A friend to all he isn’t exactly to be counted out when it comes to more physical things – after the death of his brother and friends he lives to be successful and proves it with hard work and training. He is a mentor for all and a friend for many, but he secretly wants to be himself and fears that he will never make that goal. Ever.

History:
Rowankit was born in the Windclan camp nursery to a small, soft-hearted she-cat called Snowfur and her mate Crowwing. He and his siblings Rabbitkit and Hawkkit where the first of the many Newleaf litters that would be born that year, born only in the early dawn of the first real day of Newleaf. Leaf-bare that year had been hard for all the clan; green cough had taken out many of the elders and senior warriors, and even in Newleaf the threat was still there…unknown to them, until Rabbitkit caught it and died in her sleep before she was even a week old. Snowfur was devastated, and the burial for her youngest daughter tore up the poor queen before she really could get to know her own kits, consumed by grief and overtaken by her own self pity, she became very quiet and then when her grief settled, obsessive with her kits. Rowankit and Hawkkit were always being smothered with their mothers love and affection – a very kitty pet idea – from the time they could first open their eyes. They would live a very sheltered life.
When Rowankit and Hawkkit reached six moons, they where greeted with apprenticeship, and a reality check. The night began like any night, with the leaders call; “Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather in the clearing!”, followed by, “Rowankit shall now be called Rowanpaw, and Hawkkit shall now be called Hawkpaw!” Their chosen mentors were named as Pebblefoot and Firefly – two kind and quite young she-cat warriors. On the night of their apprentice ceremony, their mother had reluctantly agreed to go off onto a simple border patrol, because they were so short on warriors for the moment, but their patrol was ambushed by a rouge, and she was severely injured in the fight. Eventually she would heal, but she was left to be blind in one eye and would become an elder at her young age.
Stricken with his mother’s condition, both Rowanpaw and his brother Hawkpaw were determined to make their mother proud. They practiced day and night with their thoughtful mentors, mastering their newfound skills with ease. Hawkpaw was a wonderful fighter, and Rowanpaw himself was an impressive hunter, holding the fastest record for catching a rabbit. When the reached eleven moons, they knew that their warrior ceremony would be held soon, they could feel the excitement buzz in the camp among their mentors and their fellow warriors and apprentices. Eager, the brothers wanted to prove themselves worthy and volunteered to join the dawn hunting patrol that would follow suit shortly.
Their mission began without incident, the patrol set out at dawn to check all of a rabbit holes for signs of early rising prey. Hawkpaw and Smallpaw, another apprentice at the time that Hawkpaw was quite fond of, were at the front as they slipped into their “hunting mode” the two of them had created. One would scare a rabbit out of the hole and then the other would grab it, their first try was quite successful snagging two fat rabbits with ease, but their second led to nothing. As they approached a third hole, Rowanpaw caught up to them, he and Hawkpaw lured the rabbit out of the hole and it set off. The chase was on! Taking off in the direction of the Riverclan border, they thought they would loose it, Smallpaw and Hawkpaw sped up and into the tall reeds that marked the border line, a squeak came from the rustling weeds, a dying rabbit! They had caught it!
Just when things were looking up, there was a yowl from the right, then a hiss and the flurry of fur and claws erupted in the weeds. A Riverclan patrol had caught Smallpaw and Hawkpaw! Rowanpaw rushed into the mix, which straddled the border evenly, a very large, aggressive looking tom had his brother pinned. While trying to break free Hawkpaw had scraped the tom across the face with his claws an left three very deep scratches across his eye. The tom screeched in fury and aimed for Hawkpaw throat…killing him instantly. Ravenear, Daisypelt, Pebblefoot, and Firefly raced across the border to help…but it was to late for Hawkpaw, and Smallpaw was badly injured. In her own furry at her apprentice’s death, Firefly charged the offending tom, tearing his ear and then turned, her tail caught in his mouth, she tripped landing on her back, he attacked again, her flailing paws caught his neck, he died the same way Hawkpaw had. Numb, the five virtually unharmed cats half dragged and half carried the dead apprentice and gingerly carried the dying one back to camp.
When they returned the camp fell silent. All horror broke loose as the clan leader fetched their medicine cat to try and save Smallpaw, but they knew it was useless. The dying apprentice was given her warrior name, Smallear, and later passed away that day. There was a silent vigil for the two apprentices, led by their friend Rowanpaw, as their clan leader and deputy raced off to report what had happened at the border at dawn. Rowanpaw was torn, now he had lost both his siblings and his friend. Less than a month later, Rowanpaw was given his Warrior name, Rowanwing. The young brown tabby had grown into an impressive young tom, and with his warrior name came the names of two other fellow apprentices’ warrior names, Adderpaw became Addereye and and Fernpaw became Fernclaw.
Life slowly returned to normal, Rowanwing and an older apprentice at the time, Honeypaw met and she became a close friend of his. She help him put his past behind him, and slowly the cat that Rowanwing wanted to be emerged from the haunted shell he had been. When Rowanwing reached 14 moons, Honeypaw was given her warrior name, Honeyheart, for her sweet nature. There was hope that the two of them would grow to love each other…but as this young cats luck would have it, Honeyheart was killed by a badger only two months later when she was bathing in the sun…apparently near a badgers den.
Rowanwing was devastated again, for soon after his mother Snowfur passed away, and his father – whom he had never really been close to, followed shortly after. Seeing that the young tom needed something to put his talent and time, heart and soul into he was given an apprentice at 16 moons. Her name was Brightpaw, and the young she-cat reminded him a lot of his mother and his beloved Honeyheart in one small package. The white bundle of fluff was by his side nearly all the time, learning and training, her progress surpassed even her mentors as she soared far beyond anyone’s expectations. As leaf-bare came around, so did green cough…and sadly Brightpaw caught the deadly disease and was killed shortly afterwards.
Once again left alone, the young tom turned to his old mentor for support. Pebblefoot had long since found a mate, the young and reckless Ravenear, and had a litter of four kits; Eaglekit, Ratkit, Grasskit, and Cloudkit, small bundles of joy that cheered the young cats heart. Ravenear and Rowanwing became friends, brightening the young tom’s spirit as he was entrusted the responsibility of mentoring again, this time one of his mentors, and his friend’s kits, Eaglekit. At 18 months he was mentored to Eaglepaw, this time without incident and with time, he successfully raised the younger tom through his apprenticeship and Eaglepaw was later named Eagleheart. While saving Rowanwing’s sanity and soul, Rowanwing thinks highly of the young new warrior, and now at 30 moons, Rowanwing is a changed cat…with a lot of heart and even bigger potential.
Other: EDIT: I forgot the "other" field. c_c;
Yay first kitty! :D ...sorry the profile is so...huge. I couldn't stop typing. O_O; I've got so much muse for him! <3 I hope to help get the "dead" clans started back up again, so...yeah. Let me know if I can help!
