Significance is a literate, intermediate to advanced Warriors role play. We role play with the five original clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan and StarClan. We've been here for over two years and counting! We have friendly, knowledgeable members along with many unique cats to role play with. Come and find out yourself what we have to offer!

04/11/09 With the latest activity check coming to a close, it seems that we are slowing down before we speed up (hopefully!) The plot is planned to start after a few threads finish up and the gathering comes to an end. When that happens there will be a new skin, new images, and more! There are still high positions open so keep an eye on the side table and stats!
18/09/09 School's up and running, that's for sure! Homework, projects and tests have already popped up. Post when you can, anything is great. Now that the ceremonies are starting to come to a close the gathering that will start the plot is coming up! If everyone is able, we will have the said gathering next moon.
09/02/09 Congratulations to: Cedarclaw, Smallstar and Duskfeather! Faythe, Rowanwing and Fawnfeather! Breanna and Maplefeather! Tikker and Briarstar! Whitepaw and Littleleaf!... and Fernear and Miragesoul! All of these members and cats have been appointed into their specific clan's hierarchy. The clans almost have full ranking hierarchies! Great job everyone! Thank you to every member who has participated in the ceremonies and held the hope to grab one of these positions. We really appreciate it whether you got it or not. Now that the clans are up-to-date, the plot should be started next moon!
08/10/09 Congratulations to Heathclaw and Rustlestar! WindClan now has their new leader. Activity is high amongst the members we have but with ShadowClan and RiverClan in need of a new hierarchy we're in desperate need of more members to open the window of opportunity to more members: advertise is you'd like.. It'd help and I'd appreciate it :) Keep up the activity and enjoy the last few weeks of summer!
07/29/09 We planned on starting the plot this moon, but I think it may be tight with all the new leader and deputy threads. PM me your opinion! There's an activity up so go post! The summer is almost done but we've still got time to enjoy!
07/06/09 Yes, the new version is here! This plot will be on its way soon enough, you've received a PM about it. The money system is back, the rules have been updated and there are many interesting things to come with the plot! Hopefully the wait wasn't too bad, I hope it was worth it! Keep your eyes peeled for what's in store for Significance and its members!

Greenleaf is here and the land is definitely showing it. The plants and trees are as lush as the cats have seen in moons and the prey are just running from their dens into the cats' paws. The air is heavy and humid with only slight breezes every once in a while. The lake is swelling from all the frequent heavy rain storms.

Although this Character of the Month is played with by one of the newer members of Significance, we believe he really deserves it. This month, please give your congratulations to Faythe who plays this month's character of the month - Rowanwing! Faythe plays Rowanwing with a great deal of literacy, and he's a fun cat to be in a thread with. Faythe has a lovely way of role playing, and it's easy and fun to read her posts. Faythe, great job with your style of role playing and congratulations on having Rowanwing as this month's Cat of the Month!

Name: Rustlestar
Gender: Tom
Age: 61 Moons (5 years, 1 season)
Clan: WindClan
Rank: Leader (Nine lives)

Apprentice: Cinderpaw

Description:
Rustlestar stands out from the other Windclan cats. As his warrior name suggests, his pelt is a thick mat of long, dark orange fur that rustles and ripples with every step. The pelt keeps him warm during the coldness of Leaf-Bare, but he sheds like crazy in New-Leaf, and is still uncomfortably warm in Green-Leaf. His tail has a bit of a bottlebrush aspect, with medium sized tufts branching off at the end. He has a thick ruff of fur around his neck, a broad nose, and golden eyes that shine with the warmth of the sun.

Beneath his thick pelt is a mass of solid muscles, built up through countless moons of rigorous training and battle. His large paws hide razor sharp claws, meticulously honed to dangerous, glimmering points. His jaws are healthy and strong, always prepared to clench around a piece of prey, or an enemy. A veteran warrior, Rustlestar has been in several battles, and has the scars to prove it. Most notable is the scar right behind his right ear, an old wound from his apprenticeship. Other scars are hidden beneath his fur, but include a large gash across his chest, slashes across his belly, and cuts on his side.

Among his clanmates, Rustlestar carries himself in a manner that draws respect. He stands calm, confident, and well groomed, with an almost regal bearing, his gold eyes glowing with pride for his clan. And yet, there is a sense of inner power behind his appearance and a flicker of fire behind those eyes.

On the battlefield, Rustlestar is transformed. He enters battle like a hurricane, fur bristling as he dashes about, landing savage blows on his opponents, eyes blazing hatred towards the enemies of his clan. In his youth, he was a loose cannon, jumping in and slashing wildly at any cat. Now, he demonstrates a measure of restraint and control, although he still refuses to leave a battle until his enemy is soundly defeated.

Personality:
Rustlestar lives and breathes for his clan. He is the cat you'll expect to see at the forefront of every battle, ripping through enemy lines. He trains like a member of TigerClan, hunts like a member of LionClan, and pushes the full potential out of each apprentice that comes his way.

Rustlestar is a very direct type of cat. He is not one to mince words, and can sometimes come off as blunt or terse. He is also very practical and direct, and is best at dealing with situations that can be resolved immediately through physical action, whether it's making an addition to the camp, catching prey, or going out and busting heads, and not so good at dealing with emotions.

What other cats have to remember is that no matter how brusque, tough, or fanatical Rustlestar may seem, it all stems from of a deep love of his clan, a clan that he is extremely proud of, from his leader all the way to his young kit, who he expects great things from.

Rustlestar has had ambitions: he has had his eye on the deputy position ever since his first moon as a warrior. And yet, now that he has made leader, the ambition is still there: He is determined to make WindClan the greatest of the four Clans

Likes: The Warrior Code, serving his clan, his mate and kit, training apprentices, fighting, keeping order, pushing his limit, doing better than the other Clans.

Dislikes: Whiners, slackers, fools, non-Windclan cats, being stuck in the medicine den, seeing a clanmate in pain, feeling weak/helpless, getting soaked.

Mother: Cloudfur / Deceased
Father: Redfang / Deceased
Siblings: N/A
Former Mentors/Apprentices: Redfang / Deceased
Sandpaw / Deceased, Various other apprentices / alive.

History:
Rustlekit was clanborn, sired by Redfang and raised by Cloudfur during his early moons, from Leaf-fall to Leaf-bare. He never knew his father, nor did the rest of the clan; Redfang never visited the nursery and Cloudfur refused to name the father. His mother named him Rustlekit because of how he used to rustle around in his nest in his sleep, and because of his unusually thick pelt.

At the end of Leaf-bare; in his sixth moon, Rustlekit was made an apprentice. Redfang was made his mentor, specifically requesting Rustlepaw to be his apprentice. After all, only two cats in the clan knew that they were father and son. And Redfang was hardly soft with Rustlepaw. He made him chase rabbits until his paws were sore, and ran him through battle training so vigorous that Rustlepaw went to his den with bruises each night. He was a harsh mentor; and Rustlepaw, still young at the time, resented that.

Then, during his apprenticeship, something happened that marked a moment in Rustlepaw's life. He'd dashed out on Redfang in the middle of a training session, his mind seething with frustration, and had slipped through a patch of brambles to lose his mentor. He was so caught up in brooding about how horrible Redfang was acting to him that he didn't realize he'd crossed the border until the Riverclan patrol was nearly on top of him.

It was just his luck that the patrol happened to be in a foul mood. Without waiting for an explanation, the three Riverclan cats attacked, batting at Rustlepaw on every side. It was going to turn really bad for him when a cat came to his rescue. Naturally, it was Redfang, who true to his name, fought viciously against the Riverclan patrol until his fangs ran red, sending them all back with scars to remember. It was an ashamed but awed Rustlepaw that followed him mentor back to camp after that incident.

"Redfang? I'm... sorry. I was stupid to walk out on you. Thanks for saving my tail back there."

"Just make sure it doesn't happen again. The other clans won't show you any mercy, mousebrain. I won't be around to save you next time you stumble into enemy territory."

From that day, Rustlepaw continued his training without complaint, growing into a warrior he hoped his mentor could be proud of. No other cat was happier than Rustlepaw once he reached his warrior ceremony, becoming Rustlepelt.

One moon after the ceremony, the clan deputy retired, and a new deputy had to be chosen. There was much support for Redfang, who was in his later moons as a warrior, but a younger, fitter cat had received the honor instead. His mentor hid his disappointment, but Rustlepelt could tell that Redfang had been hoping for this for a long time. On that day, he set himself a goal to be Clan Deputy himself, redoubling his efforts.

Several seasons down the road, when Cloudfur had joined Starclan and Redfang was soon to follow, Rustlepelt was told the truth about his parentage. The news shocked him, making him look back on his life in a brand new way. It made sense, he realized. All the little things had pointed to this. And so, Rustlepelt was able to share tongues with his mentor, his father, for one last time before he went to join his mate in Starclan.

Seasons passed again, and Rustlepelt fell in love with a sand-colored she cat named Breezeflower, drawn together by their mutual devotion to their clan and their strong wills. Their kit came shortly after, whom Rustlepelt cherished and would eventually defend tooth and nail in later moons.

One moon after an attack on Windclan's camp, the deputy position opened again. Rustlepelt stared up at his leader, tension prickling through his fur. Surely this would be the moment where he would succeed, the moment that his father had been denied...

When Dawnthorn was named as deputy, Rustlepelt had been the first to call out his name, in congratulations, but inside, he was seething. Why had that cat, that loopy, insane, non-clanborn cat been chosen over him? Like his father before him, Rustlepelt hid his disappointment, but the lingering ambition had not died away.

In fact, it had grown worse. Dawnthorn vanished shortly after that date, and Rainstar had refused to name a new deputy, much to Rustlepelt's irritation. Then, shortly afterwards, Rainstar herself disappeared, leaving the clan leaderless. With two gaping holes in the clan hierarchy, Rustlepelt decided to go to the Moonpool with other cats of WindClan to fill one of these positions. There, he was made leader. What follows after is in his and StarClan's paws.
