Significance is a literate, intermediate to advanced Warriors role play. We role play with the five original clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan and StarClan. We've been here for over two years and counting! We have friendly, knowledgeable members along with many unique cats to role play with. Come and find out yourself what we have to offer!

04/11/09 With the latest activity check coming to a close, it seems that we are slowing down before we speed up (hopefully!) The plot is planned to start after a few threads finish up and the gathering comes to an end. When that happens there will be a new skin, new images, and more! There are still high positions open so keep an eye on the side table and stats!
18/09/09 School's up and running, that's for sure! Homework, projects and tests have already popped up. Post when you can, anything is great. Now that the ceremonies are starting to come to a close the gathering that will start the plot is coming up! If everyone is able, we will have the said gathering next moon.
09/02/09 Congratulations to: Cedarclaw, Smallstar and Duskfeather! Faythe, Rowanwing and Fawnfeather! Breanna and Maplefeather! Tikker and Briarstar! Whitepaw and Littleleaf!... and Fernear and Miragesoul! All of these members and cats have been appointed into their specific clan's hierarchy. The clans almost have full ranking hierarchies! Great job everyone! Thank you to every member who has participated in the ceremonies and held the hope to grab one of these positions. We really appreciate it whether you got it or not. Now that the clans are up-to-date, the plot should be started next moon!
08/10/09 Congratulations to Heathclaw and Rustlestar! WindClan now has their new leader. Activity is high amongst the members we have but with ShadowClan and RiverClan in need of a new hierarchy we're in desperate need of more members to open the window of opportunity to more members: advertise is you'd like.. It'd help and I'd appreciate it :) Keep up the activity and enjoy the last few weeks of summer!
07/29/09 We planned on starting the plot this moon, but I think it may be tight with all the new leader and deputy threads. PM me your opinion! There's an activity up so go post! The summer is almost done but we've still got time to enjoy!
07/06/09 Yes, the new version is here! This plot will be on its way soon enough, you've received a PM about it. The money system is back, the rules have been updated and there are many interesting things to come with the plot! Hopefully the wait wasn't too bad, I hope it was worth it! Keep your eyes peeled for what's in store for Significance and its members!

High: 33°C, 91.4°F
Low: 21°C, 69.8°F

Greenleaf is here and the land is definitely showing it. The plants and trees are as lush as the cats have seen in moons and the prey are just running from their dens into the cats' paws. The air is heavy and humid with only slight breezes every once in a while. The lake is swelling from all the frequent heavy rain storms.

Rowanwing | Faythe
Although this Character of the Month is played with by one of the newer members of Significance, we believe he really deserves it. This month, please give your congratulations to Faythe who plays this month's character of the month - Rowanwing! Faythe plays Rowanwing with a great deal of literacy, and he's a fun cat to be in a thread with. Faythe has a lovely way of role playing, and it's easy and fun to read her posts. Faythe, great job with your style of role playing and congratulations on having Rowanwing as this month's Cat of the Month!

Name: Maplefeather

Moons: 26

Picture:

The cat, not the shower.
Gender: She-Cat

Clan: ThunderClan

Rank: Warrior

Short Description: Maplefeather is a long haired pale gold she-cat with brown paws, face, and tail. She has light blue eyes, and barely visible brown streaks running across her back, and striped across her front legs.

Description:
Maplefeather's build is close to that of a Maine Coon - not overly huge, but you couldn't get away with saying she was small, either. She was never meant to be the cat running as a messenger (although she does have the broad chest to hold large lungs) but rather the one to fight. She has short legs, built for crouching down among the many bushes and trees in her homeland, and short ears ideal for flattening in the case that she would have to hide. A long, graceful tail isn't exactly ideal for being stealthy, but it sure proves handy when she trips - yet again - off the side of the cliff into the camp, only to land safely to her paws.

Like the Maine Coon she is based off of, Maplefeather has the long, beautiful fur envied by many she-cats seeking a mate. She easily disappears into the leaves of an autumn day as she flattens down, her earth colored fur slipping right in with the rest of the world. Maplefeather's gentle brown shading turns the eye away from what would otherwise be a giveaway - the shape of her legs, the ears on her head. Even her tail, cunningly twisted, only looks like a gentle slope in the earth. Her only flaw in her camouflage is that her fur is silky to the touch - and her wide, expressive eyes are the color of the east horizon the moment before the sun rises.

Her face is no disappointment to be compared with the rest of Maplefeather's body. It's almost perfectly proportioned, just a touch too big for the size of her shoulders. Somehow, it adds to her charm - the oval eyes, giving even more expression than most of her Clanmates'. True to her breed, Maplefeather's muzzle is in a visible square, with no pointedness or tapering. Her ears provide the confirmation that she is in no way a true Maine Coon, with their size and being farther apart, but the rest of her face may show a different side to the story.
Personality:
This pretty she-cat isn't really the nicest one in the world - she has a tendency to be selfish, rude, obnoxious, and ignorant. She imagines herself to be better than she really is, and this tends to get on the nerves of her Clanmates. Maplefeather often wastes time on patrols flirting with the toms, so she occasionally comes back with zero prey to show for her "efforts". Not that anyone can do anything about it. She has too much ego to pay attention to authority.

She does have her good sides though. Once you get her to quit messing around, she's a genuine hard worker - if she wasn't so obnoxious, perhaps she'd be a good mentor one day. Maplefeather has intense loyalty for those she cares about, and can make a snap decision. She, like many pretty girls, has the ability to...change cats' minds around.
The only souls she really respects are her Clan's deputy - leaders have little to do with organizing patrols - and her kin.

History:
A spunky kit, Maplefeather was born to a queen who couldn't wait to get back to warrior duties. Many times, her kits were left to their own devices so Featherears could go on patrol. Maplefeather raised herself, practically, with the gentle guidance of the other queen in the nursery. By the time she and her siblings turned six moons old, all but Maplefeather had died of malnutrition. Even after watching her siblings starve to death, it didn't change the she-cat's outlook on life - in fact, it stuck the idea into her mind that she was the one to survive for a reason. She constantly tried to sneak out of camp with the apprentices, wishing desperately she could be one too.
To divert her attention, Maplefeather's father taught her a few basic hunting moves, and those kept her occupied until the she-cat was finally granted a mentor.

In her apprenticeship, Maplefeather worked hard and diligently to be the best cat she could be - that is, when she wasn't distracting her man friends. Her mentor, Nightgaze, was in particular quite handsome, and was easily able to get Maplefeather to concentrate. When she wasn't training with Nightgaze, the ginger she-cat was gathering moss, or disrupting the elders' naps with practice pounces.
Her first battle was a skirmish on the border with some WindClan warriors itching for a fight. The fight was easily won, with four warriors to two, although one of the warriors took a liking to Maplefeather. Unable to understand why anyone would take a mate from another Clan, she left him in the dust.

The day for Maplefeather's warrior ceremony finally arrived when she turned 14 moons. She was given the name "feather" for her long, plumy tail, and also because of her mother's name, which only boosted her ego even more. She nearly fell asleep on her vigil, but managed to make it through the night. Two moons after being relieved of his apprentice, Nightgaze died in a bad bout of greencough. Although she wishes he and her siblings were still alive, Maplefeather has managed to move on, and remains today to be the same mouse-brained beauty she was as an apprentice.
