Significance is a literate, intermediate to advanced Warriors role play. We role play with the five original clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan and StarClan. We've been here for over two years and counting! We have friendly, knowledgeable members along with many unique cats to role play with. Come and find out yourself what we have to offer!

04/11/09 With the latest activity check coming to a close, it seems that we are slowing down before we speed up (hopefully!) The plot is planned to start after a few threads finish up and the gathering comes to an end. When that happens there will be a new skin, new images, and more! There are still high positions open so keep an eye on the side table and stats!
18/09/09 School's up and running, that's for sure! Homework, projects and tests have already popped up. Post when you can, anything is great. Now that the ceremonies are starting to come to a close the gathering that will start the plot is coming up! If everyone is able, we will have the said gathering next moon.
09/02/09 Congratulations to: Cedarclaw, Smallstar and Duskfeather! Faythe, Rowanwing and Fawnfeather! Breanna and Maplefeather! Tikker and Briarstar! Whitepaw and Littleleaf!... and Fernear and Miragesoul! All of these members and cats have been appointed into their specific clan's hierarchy. The clans almost have full ranking hierarchies! Great job everyone! Thank you to every member who has participated in the ceremonies and held the hope to grab one of these positions. We really appreciate it whether you got it or not. Now that the clans are up-to-date, the plot should be started next moon!
08/10/09 Congratulations to Heathclaw and Rustlestar! WindClan now has their new leader. Activity is high amongst the members we have but with ShadowClan and RiverClan in need of a new hierarchy we're in desperate need of more members to open the window of opportunity to more members: advertise is you'd like.. It'd help and I'd appreciate it :) Keep up the activity and enjoy the last few weeks of summer!
07/29/09 We planned on starting the plot this moon, but I think it may be tight with all the new leader and deputy threads. PM me your opinion! There's an activity up so go post! The summer is almost done but we've still got time to enjoy!
07/06/09 Yes, the new version is here! This plot will be on its way soon enough, you've received a PM about it. The money system is back, the rules have been updated and there are many interesting things to come with the plot! Hopefully the wait wasn't too bad, I hope it was worth it! Keep your eyes peeled for what's in store for Significance and its members!

Greenleaf is here and the land is definitely showing it. The plants and trees are as lush as the cats have seen in moons and the prey are just running from their dens into the cats' paws. The air is heavy and humid with only slight breezes every once in a while. The lake is swelling from all the frequent heavy rain storms.

Although this Character of the Month is played with by one of the newer members of Significance, we believe he really deserves it. This month, please give your congratulations to Faythe who plays this month's character of the month - Rowanwing! Faythe plays Rowanwing with a great deal of literacy, and he's a fun cat to be in a thread with. Faythe has a lovely way of role playing, and it's easy and fun to read her posts. Faythe, great job with your style of role playing and congratulations on having Rowanwing as this month's Cat of the Month!

Name: Fanwfeather.
Gender: She-cat.
Age: 32 Moons.
Clan: RiverClan.
Rank: Deputy.

Mentor: N/A
Apprentice: N/A (PM me if interested)

Description:
Fawnfeather is a rather average looking cat, her beauty is present of course, and she is pleasant to look at, but she isn't the kind of cat that seeks out any...physical attention. Her pelt is more of a creamish-white that a light orange, and bright orange stripes line her sides with a more simple elegance than any complicated pattern. She looks more like her mother, Dustflower, than her father. Her mother was a very pale orange tabby cat with bright green eyes and her father was a tom called Cloudstripe, a white cat with faint brown stripes and dark blue eyes him self. One was of average build, and the other was other the smaller variety, leaving Fawnfeather to be in the middle of the two of them, an almost average cat with her own half-sized grace.

Physically, this she-cat is graceful and “fluid” in her motions. With years of practice she can stalk through weeds or sand and leave not a trace of her moments if she wished it. Leg muscles are strong, looking slightly bulky with just a glance on her smaller warrior frame, but they allow her to leap far distances and swim well when the RiverClan cats choose to go for a quick swim. She is fast in the water, one of the best Fishers for the clan, and excels at catching prey; but she is slow to dodge attacks and her reaction times tend to lag out of the water for some unannounced reason.

She isn’t clumsy, but she bruises easily when she is out working with her fellow warriors and their apprentices. Thankfully she mends quickly to the joy of the poor RiverClan medicine cat and their apprentice, for she is there quite often. Quick on her feet at times, she loves the thrill of a fight – and often starts them for “training purposes” – but she tries to be gentle and loving to all of her clan just because she is a real softy. Appearing fierce in clan-to-clan skirmishes, she is a force to be reckoned with for those who she mistrusts or those outside of the clans.

Personality:
Fawnfeather is a very clam, collected cat – at least most of the time. She gets along easily with many of her clan members and finds joy in doing it. Although she lacks ambitions, she does enjoy helping out the “higher powers” and taking control just because than she knows that things will get done. She’s got a voice that carries over her clan mates when she wants to be heard and another half of her that is quiet and secluded from the outside world. She’s very very skittish around kits, the way she views the world – kits wouldn’t survive it. The old, the sick, the young, the weak, they don’t exactly “scare” her, but she is afraid that if she does something wrong they will simply fall from her fingers.

Often, there are times that one can find her standing guard outside those who she loves doors at night, silent like a hawk. These times are when she finds peace amongst the silverpelt that shines above her head at night when she is unseen by her clan mates. She almost lives for these moments, and often craves them, because the silence lets her think, and although she fears the future and what StarClan has planned ahead for them, she finds a calming peace with in their eyes.

She clings to reality and the sake of the Warrior Code, believing that much of what happens is either and unnatural fluke or the will of StarClan. Extremely loyal to her clan, she would fight to the death to protect it…even if it means getting over her fear of loss. If she tried, she could show her truer inner nature, a strong, elegant, bold warrior with nothing but the minds, wills, and needs of her clan on her mind. She does not show her fear of things out loud, for example she dislikes male cats, but she will still interact with them nearly the same way as a fellow female warrior.

Among the Clan, she is known to be a brave, selfless warrior. Her outer façade works well among them, but her inner one is always pressed by those same fears and a need for guidance among a world that is full of leader and followers. To avoid her inner conflicts, she often pushes them deep inside herself and cares for others instead, helping them train or improve on their own skills so that they may have a better chance to be what they wish themselves – like she cannot. She believes strongly in StarClan, and feels as though she is bound by their chains. A private cat, and a silent teacher, she waits for signs and signals almost as well as a medicine cat – but does not have the heart to find where they lead and has dug herself out to be very superstitious.

She is very nearly a cat of split personalities. Not literally of course, but metaphorically. With her two little “modes” she tackles the world with one and fights her self with the other. The outside is how the clan sees her, a “flawless” warrior. The inside – her inner core – is in a feeble state, a worrier, a seeker, and a believer. These two sides push against each other in a never ending battle and sometimes will leave her in a state of discontent or when one of the other’s walls crack, one shows through. It is her inner core that will not allow her to love, since she has lost so much, but the outer one lets her loves – and fear for – her clan, and for now that is all she needs.

History:
Life began for Fawnkit as it began for all Warriors of the Clans, she was born. Her mother was a kind, often sickly, orange tabby queen with startlingly bright green eyes – her name was Dustflower. He father on the other hand was an ambitious, although loving, white tom with dark blue eyes and a bright pink nose – his name was Cloudstripe; and to the shock of the clan, they fell in love. As all stories go, they met as apprentices… Dustpaw and Cloudpaw, and always bickered and fought as rivals until one day they grew up and realized they only did that because they craved the others attention. On the night of their Warrior ceremonies, they sat vigil together, and were never apart again. Dustflower and Cloudstripe were about as loyal to each other as they were to the clan, and so it was no surprise when Dustflower became pregnant with a litter of kittens four seasons after the two fell in love. Two months later came Stormkit, Yellowkit, and of course Fawnkit.

The three lived a happy, care free childhood. There were no deaths, no wars, not problems, just a wonderful bliss that was the kithood of a cat. At six moons they were each apprenticed to mentors and then preceded through their warrior training. Fawnpaw at first was mentored by a softhearted she-cat by the name of Wrenfeather. For her first three months of her apprenticeship, there were no mishaps or challenges to leap through and she began to pass through each test and each trail with flying colors. But as this story goes, her life was shattered on the that third month, when the softhearted Wrenfeather was murdered by a rouge while on a hunting patrol, leaving the naïve apprentice to deal with something she had never felt, grief.

She was quickly given a new mentor, a wicked she-cat with good intentions who pushed her through her training to the point that the young cat thought she might break. Her new mentor was Dawnheart, and although the cat wasn’t actually wicked, she wasn’t as softhearted or sympathetic as Wrenfeather. Three months passed like the wind, and then the three kits of Dustflower’s first litter were given their new names, Stormstripe, Yellowfire, and Fawnfeather (in honor of her first mentor).

Shortly after this day, Fawnfeather discovered that her mother – Dustflower – was to give birth to another litter, to the excitement of her father. They were thrilled, for more reasons that one, and time flew by as those two months passed without a care in the world. On the night that Dustflower began to give birth, Stormstripe was killed protecting the camp from a large and very angry badger that had wandered to close to the camp for his liking. The badger survived, unknown to the rest of the clan. Dustflower gave birth to four healthy kits; Hawkkit, Willowkit, Barkkit, and a kit that was the splitting image of its mother who was named Dustkit in her honor.

There was rejoicing in the camp, and then a poor RiverClan Warrior by the name of Mapleheart found Stormstripe’s body and a group of warriors set out to seek revenge for the tom’s death. The badger came into camp and broke into the nursery unnoticed until it was too late, only Dustkit survived. Cloudstripe, Yellowfire, and Fawnfeather killed the badger in the camp shortly after. It was this event that split Fawnfeather’s young heart into pieces and forced her to become her slightly unstable self at times.

Fawnfeather moved on, striken by the death of her littermate and the siblings she never knew, becoming overly protective of Dustkit. She was given her own apprentice, a beautiful she-cat called Skypaw, whom she trained to the best of her abilities and found a love for mentoring. Skypaw became Skysong after they had won a battle against a ShadowClan patrol that was lurking through their terrirtory. Her next apprentice was a young tom called Duskpaw, he was a sickly young thing from the start and just when he began to get stronger he was killed by a bout of Greencough that spread through the camp and had also killed her brother Yellowfire’s apprentice Silverpaw. Stricken once again, their clan leader at the time assigned the siblings to a younger apprentice, Spottedpaw, who had lost his mentor Greenear, to the same sickness. Together they taught the apprentice who reached warrior hood, becoming Spottedear, who was later struck by a monster on the thunder path when he saved a friend of his life.

Having not received another apprentice since then, the young Fawnfeather began a short lesson in Medicine cat herbs in her free time to learn the basic knowledge for the sake of it. Moons have passed since these events and she has not reached thirty-two moons, while loosing interest in love and males because she feels as though StarClan has betrayed her because she has lost many precious things to her. She has grown distant overtime, lost in her own thoughts when she can, but remains a strong willed, loyal member of her clan despite her fears and thinking’s She only seeks to find some meaning in her life and while avoiding being ambitious she is trying to give herself to StarClan's will by supporting her clan mates any way she can. She dreams of becoming a star again.
